Doesn't Vicious hurt the user as well?

Yes. Quite the downside.

Another question for Shoruke: could I get a weapon enchanted with force instead of shock, flaming, or frost? As in, it does the same amount of extra damage (1d6) per hit, but it does force damage instead?

@Araph: I did some scavenging and found the Psychokinetic weapon enchantment in the Magic Item Compendium.

+1 magic bonus

1d4 Force damage, ignores DR, Hurts incorporeal

Count me as surprised you can get force on a +1.

Thanks! What exactly does the +1 magic bonus do? Is it an enhancement bonus?

Is it better than shock?

Force? Yes.

Force is always better then shock. Force is better then any energy, even sonic which itself is nerfed.

It tells you the cost and it counts as a limit on how magic you can make a weapon.

Force is pretty much better than anything. Nothing (except one epic monster) resists it and it hurts incorporal beings.

Edit: Confound those ninjas

Oh. Well, never mind then, since the enchantment would inevitably be too expensive right now. Shock it is!

Shock costs the same amount as Force.

Both of them are out of your price range.

Oh, yeah. I forgot that the cost increases based on the cumulative weapon bonus.

In truth I spoke to Shoruke earlier in the week, and if I remember correctly he has work. I didn't want to say anything until he posted it, but this is cutting it a little close. I hope there is a session.

So the session is normally within about a hour or two from now?
