I have been home for all of two minutes now. If not for the fact that I can smell my own feet, I would simply start the server now and the game would start. As things stand, I'll just put the server up, wait 5 minutes to see if anyone succeeds/fails to connect, and then go shower.

Appendix: I thought this was a very satisfying session. There was a fight and exp, some phat loots (not all of which are fully explained), and the plot was hinted at, if not advanced. And I got complimented on my maps, which are apparently well-made.

I didn't mention it previously because we ended before we got there, but I am collecting the dust of the broken stone, and any shards I can find. (By there I mean the point where the Prisoner was dealt with and I had possession of my equipment again, and we sort of ended right at there, but before I went to pick it up, so it shouldn't be a problem.)

As for the loot, I'm looking to get 4 PP, 363 Silver, 75 Gold, and the Emerald, unless there are any complaints?

This day has not been going good. First Corina starts spouting off about occupying the city again, then while I am off collecting books Uskton goes and hits her in the face. Corina can be one hell of a snob with her privileged attitude, and she is clearly touched in the head, but you don't hit people who are offering you no violence. It didn't seem to me like she was violent. She stormed off after I arrived, so I must have just missed the incident. The others went back into the entry area, and then started acting weird. Weapons were taken out, so I quickly rushed over there expecting some kind of hostility. I was told they heard some noise. Expecting rats I opened up the doors. The first room had nothing, but the second had four strange humans with purplish skin. They seemed hostile. I confronted them and gave them a chance to end the situation peacefully. They did not appear to desire to do so. Corina summoned a wall to block them off. One of them, who looked like a ranger, shot Uskton. We engaged them in heated battle. At one point one of them picked me up and threw me into Mystellar. We eventually triumphed. I went to finish off our defeated foe and everyone else expressed a desire to keep him alive. The last time we encountered a Underworlder, he escaped. I am certain this new one will do so as well. The prisoner's friends referred to the wizard we captured as Dendrus. I'm sure we will regret allowing him to live. They had some kind of magical stone that they took great joy in smashing to the ground. They acted as if the stone being broken and the city being ruined was a great victory for them. I am certain everything here is connected. I will go collect the stone to give it to the Mage's Guild in Sandsedge. The air around here feels different now. More sinister. I think it would be wise to get to Sandsedge as quickly as possible with the research notes.

How do we know that +1 items are +1?

Those of you who can pass a DC 7 appraise check (should be all of you if you take 10, which I'll allow for this) should figure out that the +1 things cost significantly more than 300 gp (a masterwork item) and significantly less than 8000 gp (a +2 item).

This session had a lot to write about, and here it is.

While in the depths of the old mage’s guild Corina hatched a plan, and a mad one at that. She proposed that we displace thousands of goblins from the forests and caves in the far west and bring them here, to this very city in order to lay claim over the city. Thousands of goblins would be killed in an instant if even a small pack of landsharks were to turn their hungry heads towards them. The desert is no place for such soft, peaceful, and kind hearted creatures in their leafy mail of leaves. And to lay claim over a city! To what end would one own a city? Can you take it with you to the grave or would it be abandoned without you? Hearing enough of this plan I went up the Elven elevator to attempt to read the plethora of book that awaited me. After unsuccessfully reading through some rather boring experiment logs I decided to go back, hoping that Corina had finished pitching her idea.

Moving onward to the west of where we resting Mysteller began acting strange, moving to one side of the passageway. It was then that I heard it, dark whispers of evil and chaos. I too took refuge at the side entry of the passage, and several others followed. This was taking far too long, and I had no idea if these whispering voices were of soft tone and peaceful insight, so I walked in. The room was empty, so I headed north where Pheron quickly ran past and opened the door, which seemed oddly courteous for most. The room was empty, and before I could turn and exclaim the fact in a rather obvious manner Pheron was already running to the next door. I hurried after and quickly lined up at the door with several others, who had seen Pheron run long before I could.

Inside the west room was a massive staircase leading downwards, and in the center a large bloody crest that had been formed. I quickly took offense to the excessive use of one’s blood and started down the stairs in protest, but a clearly phantasmic wall appeared and attempted to obstruct me. I entertained the notion of the clearly false wall for but a moment in which I charged past to strike a bearded barbarian in ragged hide. He was caught off guard and I hit him well, but he stood his ground and swung back only to miss like many others who had tried. They cried out to the mage in the center to hurry, but to what end I had no clue. The battle raged on and the fighter of chaos proved to be a mighty foe indeed, performing feats of tumbling that I myself had never dared. Many had tried to topple the mage in the center including a mighty hippogriff, but only Vaba succeeded in dispatching the gaunt old man. The fighter quickly pulled a stone from the mages bag and shattered it on the ground. The room reverberated in anger, shaking the entirety of the guild. The deed was done, and the fighter was congratulated with a flash of fire that consumed him.

The battle was done, but that doesn’t mean the killing had stopped. Uskton Slek drew a killing blow on the barbarian before I could even react, an unfortunate moment. The ground shook and we had no idea why, this is not the time for senseless killing. At least one had to be saved, not only for questions but also the redemption of their soul. I pressed at the chaos ranger’s wounds to stabilize him, but a flash of residual magic crushed the chaos ranger from the inside killing him instantly in a rather gory fashion. Much to my protest Pheron would have none of my argument, and would gladly kill the last mage outright, but we needed answers and if not for that he would be dead. I am beginning to resent my teachings of war, no corpse can redeem themselves before the gods if they are in the wrong. So why kill when living can be more trying on their soul? Thinking these questions over I stopped Pheron and proposed that we keep him prisoner for questioning at the Sandsedge mage guild. He was hesitant, but agreed on it if and only if we keep him tied in a canvas sheet. What an odd request... but I suppose that it keeps the mage alive, and that’s all that counts right now.

I'll take 100gp if there are no objections. (I can't exactly take anything else)

EDIT: I'm going to have to swap out gods, because worshiping a war god under a vow of peace is just silly. So to help justify the taking of prisoners I'll be switching to St. Cuthbert, the god of retribution. This way I can be hard on prisoners and hurt them if they try to run.

Fool, Pheron didn't kill the Ranger. I was going to kill the other two while you attempted to stabilize him, but someone killed him first...
So I didn't manage to kill any of the enemies (The Barbarian was killed by Uskton Slek, Corina killed the fighter, and magic killed the Ranger. Bloody, Aztec kind of magic.)

Not to say I wouldn't have. In Pheron's world, you don't leave people who clearly had a desire to kill you alive, because they could come back and cause harm some later day. Of course you don't kill those who have no desire to fight either...

Well, nice session this time, liked having some good roleplaying again and a nice encounter.

Cuddles, I'll tell you something. That Chillblood is crazy. Completly crazy.
She told us we should take our time for a few months, offer some goblins to move to a ruin in dessert and build a city there, just so she could have something to rule.
Even worse, when Tallulah and I tried to explain to her that it was completly stupid to assume that would work, she insulted me, even though we had clearly explained why her plan was insane.
And then Pheron came in and decided to lecture me about trying to smack some sense into her.
He is a good ally, but he really is annoying sometimes.

Shortly after that we went towards the exit, but some of us heard some weird voices. We searched around a bit, first finding a room with a huge pentagram and some cages.
In the second one we opened there were some weird demon guys standing in some sort of pit with some stairs leading down. Their Leader, some magician, told his friends, a fighter, a barbarian and a ranger to stop us from reaching him.
Corina decided the best idea was of course to create a illusionary wall in front of us, so that no one could see anything. We were lucky only pheron and one of the demons actually belived the wall was there.
Tallulah and Ethan decided to summon some eagles, me, Pheron, Van and Lycca rushed forward to fight.
The eagle got to the wizard before he could do much, but he still created a ball of lightening, which took the eagle out.
I got hit by an arrow from the ranger, but took it.
I arrived at the end of the stairs last and tried to hit the fighter, but I couldn't pierce his armor.
After that I concentrated on the barbarian, who was an experienced fighter, as I could tell.
I tried to hit him several times, but he alway dogded me.
During this, the wizard was taken out by one of Vaga's arrows and Mysteller tried to read everyones thoughts.
I hope she got something out of these demons.
While I kept on trying to hit the barbarian, the fighter had fled from battle and grabbed a stone from the wizards backpack.
He threw it to the ground, where it shattered.
I don't know what it really did, but the air seemed to change a little in the room.

The rest of the battle was rather uneventfull, I went into a rage shortly after the barbarian, and he finally succumbed to his wounds after throwing Pheron into Mysteller, and then trying to grapple him. I quickly finished him off while he was unconscious and Corina decided to do something useful and burned the fighter to death.

After that we healed the wizard of his wounds and took him prisoner. Pheron wanted to kill him, but we were able to convince him that it would be better to leave him alive and take him prisoner. Seriously, Pheron is a complete Hypocrit. First he play the holy saint when I hit Corina and then he wants to kill someone in cold blood.
Van is carrying the dude around now and I hope we'll get some information out of him.
Also, I'm concerned about that rock. Maybe It's just me, but I have a feeling that the way the air changed there, maybe they were trying to leyve a message for someone or something. But that's just my best guess, so take that as you will, Captain Cuddles.

Also, I'm taking the graetaxe if no one has problems with that.
