I’m back! The material plane! This makes me so happy that words cannot even express this feeling. It’s been so long since I found the door to the place in Sigil. The last thing I remember was hiding from the Drow on a big watership in the Sunless Sea after I mistakenly called his mother a dwarf in their sign language. I never did understand that language. Anyways, the ship started sinking, and next thing I know we’re falling into a color pool of all things. First thing I thought was that we’d die on a grand planar expanse, but we didn’t!

Another Kobold was on the ship as it filled with water. After we arrived in an earthy desert not too unlike the Outlands we began a long walk. The Kobold traveled with a great golden snake named Solace, I followed them at a distance, as a shadow would in my home. I think the Kobold saw me.

I played music for them as they crossed the desert, but I hid when they turned to me. The golden one scares me greatly. The friend found themselves in a monastery, but I knew I wouldn’t be welcomed warmly, so I snuck in. The monastery held no Kobolds beyond the two of us, and even then I wasn’t officially there. Chances are I wouldn’t find a village before I ran out of food or water, and even then there wouldn’t be another Kobold, so I stayed. I played music in the night to avoid getting bad, and hid when someone went looking for me. It was a grand game that I played every night with the monks. Sometimes they would be staring me in the face and just walk right on by.

Loaw started worshipping Fharlanghn. I think I might have met the guy once on my travels, but he didn’t stick around to chat. Nice guy from what I’ve heard about him.

Well, the monastery hiding game was fun, but after months Loaw left the monastery.

Just so you know Dwarmin, your draconic isn't based on the D&D draconic from the Draconomicon book. Which translator are you using?

@Zako: I'm technically not allowed to give you the books, but I will say that it would be hyptothetically possible to torrent them illegally. I'm not endorsing it, I'm just saying it's possible.

A lot of people seem to be switching characters... although what we're lowest on just now is melee-focused people. The closest we've got to a tank is Maelrigar, and... he's a sorcerer. (albeit a slightly powergamed battle sorcerer, but still)

Dark Creatures are fine.

Psionics are unavailable in this campaign, you are correct that ghosts would fit weirdly, I don't know where the Goliath bloodline is and Titans are lowerworld-only in this campaign... the Binder and the Shadow are your best choices, but if you REALLY would rather play a ghost than them, I'll take a more in-depth look at how they're balanced...

Dragonfire Inspiration is fine
Song of the Heart is fine
Inspirational Boost... hmm... I hesitate to okay level 1 swift spells... but sure. If it seems overpowered I'll make it a standard action to cast.
The Vest of Legends is okay... but it's going to be hard to find someone to make it for you. Knowledge checks during the session might help you find one. (option 2 is to take Craft Wondrous Item and find some way to cast Greater Heroism 16 times)

Tieflings are fine
Swashbucklers are fine
Able Learner is fine, and will grant you Knowledge(Dungeoneering)... there's also several classes that have it, as The Fool noted... plus clerics with the Knowledge domain.
(Incidentally, I find that Able Learner isn't quite available to enough races, if you find a race that's human-like enough (like Illumians) to fit the theme then by all means, ask)

Darkstalker is fine

Exemplars are fine
Daring Outlaw is fine
Craven is fine (this is starting to sound familiar)
Nightsong Enforcer is fine, but since the Nightsong Guild doesn't exist in this campaign, you'll have to seek training from some other, similar source
Whisper Gnomes are *twitch* okay...

Due to the tendency for people to post journals just as the session starts, I'll evaluate the journals when the server goes up (in about an hour).

Also, Loaw hasn't seen Solace in the five years since he landed. A bit of a time shock there, to explain how he became a Warblade.

I think I'll use the translator. It must be based on D&D draconic, since all the words translate. The ones that don't are compound words. It might even have the word for boat! Also it is hard to construct sensible sentences with only a page of words.

Strange tidings, friend book. We have arrived at a cave that should lead us through the mountains. I looked around for enemies, but strangely none showed up to harass us on our journey. Once at the cave, we encountered some kind of elfsnake. At first I thought it was a mirage, but it was wholly corporeal. Certain members of the tribe decided that it was a demon, but from my experience, demons tend to be a bit more threatening. I disembarked to meet it, and it turns out that the elfsnake was in fact a rare type of naga, and that her name was Solace. She has volunteered to join us on our quest, much to the apprehension of my fellows.

Loaw and Loreat weren't at the last session, so they couldn't earn the exp, but nice journals anyways
