I'm sorry, but the stats don't work for a 32 point buy. Kobolds have +2 to Dex, -4 to Str, -2 to Con. Before modifiers your stats are 17, 16, 14, 14, 8, and 8 with the level 4 point going into strength. That's a total of 35 points spent.

EDIT: The stats could work if you had the gloves of ogre power included into it.

On another note, should we collaborate our story at all?

I already listed the gloves...

As for Loaw, he's friends with Solace-we're both playing our Canon characters from Sunless Sea. What collaboration did you have in mind?

I have no idea what kind of collaboration I would do. Now that I think about it, I'm an extraplanar kobold bard, so I may as well write some ridiculous story to fit who he is. Something about being a planar wanderer, and avoiding thralls of fans in the Abyss.

Well, we could be friends, and recent travelling companions, kobolds stick together etc. In fact, I like that idea...

Also, we have a reason to enter the game together.

What exactly is Solace and Loaw's story? You can't have been sailing the high seas. My character could have easily been in any town anywhere playing music, but I was wondering how you two got to the library and why.

We were sailing, but...I guess the ship sank. :P

We'll have to work on that. Mostly, it's a personal/RP thing right now, with little background set in stone.

Would anyone object to me using the party's stasis bag as a backpack?

I'll also move my list of things to be approved here:

Dragonfire Inspiration (DM, p.17) - Turns Song of Courage into d6's of damage instead. Each point of bonus is worth 1d6 damage.
Song of Heart (Ebberon Campaign Setting, p.60) - Feat, adds +1 to Song of Courage.
Inspirational Boost (CA, p.153) - Level 1 spell, adds +1 to Song of Courage.
Vest of Legends (DMGII, p.272) - Are treated as 5 levels higher for bardic music effects.
Darkstalker (LoM) - Monsters with special senses must make a check to see someone.

Whoa, didn't realize we'd started again. Session on Saturday this week? If it's the normal time, I can make it.

Yeah, I would love for Darkstalker to get approved. Mean I can actually hide from people who don't need eyes.

hmm, so if I manage to show up on sat, will it be with a totally new group? XD

Oh well, not that Lith was all that experienced with the group to begin with.

Maelrigar and Mysteller are still around, at the least.

@Dwarmin - We're on a flying continent, and my character's primary objective is to find an ocean.  :P

I'll bring news of a planar sea. :P

I love my +24 to hide and hide in plain sight. 8) I guess bardic music is going to make hiding in combat annoying until level 7, but at least I can scout ahead for everyone.

Is there a ventriloquism spell? If the music was coming from one place and you were hiding in another...

You can't play bardic music and cast spells with somanic components, which that would definitely have. I might consider the lingering song as my next feat, but by then I'm only one level from the subsonics feat. I might have to go without.

Besides, this is one character I don't intend to min/max the hell out of. It's more about roleplaying ridiculousness more than anything this time. If I can't hide in battle while providing support, so be it.

Blargh, I'm stuck with planning my character out. I'm torn between being a Tiefling, get all those lovely extras, and getting rid of my level reduction at 3rd level, or going human to go straight to 4th and taking advantage of the extra feat and skill points. And I still don't know if I should just take something completely different, like elf or halfling, and take the Dark template!

So far, what I'm working with is basically Rogue 4/Swashbuckler 3 and take Exemplar 1 at lvl 10. I'm going for being the groups stealthy/trap disarming/backstabber, and having a lot of skill points in a select group of skills. (Namely hide, move silently, spot, search, pick locks, disarm traps, tumble, UMD and probably bluff and listen.) For feats, I'm probably going to go for TWF as well as Daring Outlaw I think it was called as well as Darkstalker and something else if I can get the feats, maybe Craven or something to help me sneak attack.

I'm trying to figure out what I should do for the other 12 levels. Invisible blade 5 for one-on-one sneak attacks? Thief-Acrobat 5 for various shenanigans (1 level of this would still be really good)? Shadowdancer for HIPS, darkvision and shadowjump (which I find pretty cool, especially for escaping all sorts of nasty business)? Assassin for sneak attack and spells? I like the look of the Nightsong classes, especially Nightsong Enforcer since it has Sneak Attack, so maybe a few levels of those? I'm also considering taking 2 levels of fighter for feats, full BAB and all the weapons that it lets you use.

Thoughts and advice?
