Oh, if they're useful, I'd take it. If it's a Periapt of Wisdom, for example, I might be willing to take it. I'd prefer waiting to see what they are before calling dibs; I'd rather have the cash and armor than a magic item I don't want.

Mystellar was the one reading thoughts. Corina was firing acid arrows at the wizard, then magic missiles, and she tired to disarmour the barbarian.

I hoped that these adventurers would be of use in achieving the restoration of my family. I was wrong, at least as long as that fool of a monk is around. He twists my words beyond all recognition, then insists that I am mad because of the distorted version of my plans that he has constructed in his own head. I propose bringing one camp of goblins, maybe a few dozen individuals, here in order to lay claim to this city, generously offering the party equality in the partnership, and he opposes it at every turn because "Thousands of goblins will not follow you, and there would be no way to supply them." I propose laying in a stockpile of food and water until they get something built up of their own, and he  accuses me of insisting that the party "wait for months or years to babysit." I would have given him great honor and power, with which he could have done so much more for the lowly than he can do now, but he insists on his lies and distortions to oppose me. I can forgive the idiot barbarian, as he had no reason not to believe the monks lies, but if the monk continues to oppose me, we will have a problem.

Also, there was a battle fought today that might destroy my city. I hope that this does not happen.

Today was a strange one. I encountered a few adventurers that I believe may be survivors of this town's end. For one, there was Gedin the bard, a mandolin-playing lunatic that thinks that he can save his family from disease by wandering around in a ghost town. (I think he's nuts!) He was traveling with a creature that reminded me heavily of Pheron, though they were a foxlike person instead of a deerlike person. At least this one doesn't think it's human. What's the big deal about being human, anyway? I manage just fine.

Akoth was a little disappointed that we couldn't get him home yet, but we assured him that Sandsedge probably had enough wizards to do it. I'll be glad; we have enough supernatural stuff going on without a flaming dwarf aboard our ship. I know I'm a sorcerer and should be pretty attuned to that kind of thing already, but nowadays I have to deal with multiple animal people, a literally fiery dwarf, an annoying psychic Gith thing, and a monk that doesn't really like fighting. Strange guy, that. You'd think he'd follow some pansy god like St. Cuthbert instead of a war god. [Damn I'm good.] Oh well, we get along well enough. I'll be glad to leave this accursed place behind us. Rifts to the underworld aren't my favorite locale.

That was an awesome guess Barbarossa. Though I may want to be a little more intense with it than I was with the war god. Though I can't 'harm' them I think I can guilt and torment them as part of their retribution. I think that the smaller sleep cycle can only help with the torment. I'll have to look into this more before I risk breaking a vow or an alignment jump, which would be bad for any monk.


EDIT: I think I'll try to roleplay Van as a judge since he wants to bring about order, however I somehow think that tormenting someone that is evil because they're evil is a little too chaotic good for a monk.

EDIT2: I have the sudden urge to have the battlecry "For great justice".

Oh boy, I just read through all the sheets to find out where I was. Mysteller's way ahead of me now, but it mainly appears that everyone is slowly catching up to me. Probably a good thing for party balance.
