WHOO I MADE IT, KIND OF

I-I wasn't sure exactly how to fill out spell saves, and I probably screwed other things up, SO UH. h-help?

Edit: Crap, I just realized I made it out to be level 1... *headdesk* Should I just level him up by one or what? I'm not that concerned about the gold, I'm pretty happy with his starting inventory although he'll be embarking on a Quest For a Familiar (tm) as soon as possible, so. P:

Okay, dad and I have just tried to set up port forwarding... I've closed Hamachi down, and set up the server, now someone try to join and see if it works.

IP Address: 192.168.1.103
Port: 51237
Password: herpadurp

EDIT for proper IP address, and also to announce that the testerbot made it on

asfghn, Hopefully yours at least will keep it's clothes on :P

Shoruke, that is a local ip address. run a command prompt and type "ipconfig" and look for something that doesn't start with 192.xxx.xxx.xxx

Still reporting connection timeout via java.net here... though it at least takes a few minutes to do so. :P

If you give the server a name when setting it up it will appear in the server list and we don't have to worry about IP addresses and such.

Also, is it okay if I watch?  I don't have a character ready yet, I'd just like to get an idea of how things go.

Okay, I called it "East Marches"

Sure, you can watch.

Okay, looks like your forwarding wasn't done right then.

A quick question, are you behind both a cable modem and a router, and if so, do both have integrated firewall inside them?

Grr. Just to check, you are all using the right port, right? The last digit is different than usual.

174.2.34.206:51237

That's what I got.

Edit: In addition to what asfghn has done, I have tried both no password and the password provided in both GM and Player slots.

Edit 2: Just to be sure it's the right address, in the File menu, option "Connection Information" make sure it says that the IP address (for "External Address") is what you gave. This shouldn't matter, so disregard. If we can see it in the server list (and we can) the issue has to be something else.
