In reach shooting people out of vehicles is criminally easy. If you can line up a shot with a part of them that sticks out, it does the damage it'd normally do.

So now warthogs really do need good drivers or the gunner is going to get owned real quick.

Heh. Any halfway decent sniper or DMR-user can get a gunner out of his hog.
I'd like to disagree, as a skilled Gauss Hog gunner, I have taken out my fair share of people trying to snipe me out of my Hog.

Its less about being decent now and more about a team breifly focusing their fire for a second on a vehicle is much more effective than it was in halo 3. In halo 3 shooting a gunner in the arm pretty much counted as shooting the vehicle. Not so much in reach.

What? He's firing from the hip.

That's a Gauss hog, there's a difference.  I was primarily referring to gun hogs... though a decent sniper can snipe out a Gauss gunner as well if he's at the right angle.

Damn thing needs some armor around the gunner.

In Halo, there is only one weapon so powerful that no player is allowed to use it, and it is this:

I thought the flamethrower caused lag/hitbox/timing issues.

It was also kinda OP, they nerfed it for 3 so that it was a support wep

Actually I was saying that a portable acetylene torch would let you put some armor around the warthog's gunner seat.

I now imagine a spartan welding a whole wraith and a scorpion to a simple Gatling Hog, with a few elite bodies crafted in.

What are we gonna get, a freaking Gmod-ish Forge or TF2 Crafting? I like the Former because it makes Sensei's Ideas possible, and I like most of Sensei's ideas.

To be frank I think that Forge is horrendously under-utilised, in the sense that one is either playing a match or designing an area. They've gone and made their whole forge engine and it runs smoothly while people are fighting, I'm surprised that there isn't some kind of game mode where you have to build a bridge while being shot at or something.

There's no "official" gametype support for that, but you can play via honor rules, that's what they used to do for Infection in Halo 2 before it was a legit gametype in H3.

Well, that's more a matter of not being able to carry and place materials as a spartan. Some sort of limited construction would be cool.
