Phantom, I have a feeling it was more the heroics of your team that was meant to affect the player, not the war. Besides, lets see a normal group of marines take down a bloody corvette.
Well, there were those marines in the first Halo...

Anyway, that is how the Halo universe goes.
If you slaughter some grunts, it's a day at work.
If you survive when others don't, it's a bittersweet success.
Anything else, that's destiny.

Carter was the noble teams leader am I correct? The squad leader is meant to be a role model for his squad and show how it's meant to be done but our guy seems to do all the dirty work  8)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I liked it how the end linked up to the start of the 1st halo.

Also anyone know what happened to Jun?

Jun simply escorted Halsey then disappeared. Might have been at Onyx.

And Carter is a Leadership model, giving orders, not a fancy war hero like Master Chief. The reason they don't send out the officers first is because when they die, the ranks become disorganized and demoralized.
Plus, you worked as a lone wolf before, no wonder they make you do everything.

I read some where your guy can make whole armies disappear suddenly :o

I still think carter could had been a better leader but, In my opinion I think Jorge would make a better leader because his the oldest and probably has the most experience( and he has a big machine gun ).

On another note I think the forge was greatly improved from the halo 3 forge with the option to place thing accurately like deciding how much to roll an object and how high you want it to be. Just wish they had more objects that add detail like they had in halo 3 ( barrels, boxes, briefcases etc ).

The marines in the first halo did fuck all too XD especially when flood are involved :P

I've just realised after buying myself the EOD helmet that buying it unlocks a new version of it to buy. Quite cool, considering I was resigning to having a blank helmet

Phantom, Sergeant Stacker is in Halo 3 leading the armored assault on the mission "The Ark". I have no idea why we got his voice for firefight instead someone who mattered like 343 or Miranda...

Sgt. Stacker has been pretty much around in the first 3 games. And ODST if you count that as canon somehow.

Halo: Combat Evolved, survived the Flood, extreme amounts of Covenants, Sentinels, and somehow got off the Halo ring. Probably with the Australian dude. (Which could have been a firefight voice also.)
In the second one, somehow he got promoted to ODST mode and helped in Mombasa, plus pretty much everywhere else.
In the third one, he lead the armored assault, somehow survived more Flood, and survived to the end.
Also apparently he's a Sabre pilot.

If he could make it through the whole series, that kind of matters. Plus his voice is very noticeable. And Miranda isn't very memorable to me, maybe her father, or definitely 343, but not Miranda.

Completed the Campaign on Normal with 3 people co-op last night in one marathon (ha!) effort. Slowly working my way through it solo on Legendary. It's a decent game. It's an average FPS, but an above-average Halo game, and even at it's worst, it's still fun to play. Time to grind my way up to Captain so I can buy that EVA helmet - I'm at the high-end of Sergeant Grade 2, so I've only got, what, 200000cR left to go?

It wasn't fun near the end at all

Everybody seems to be forgetting that you didn't just destroy a Corvette.

You used the Corvette to teleport away the midsection of the Supercarrier. The five kilometre long Supercarrier that was single-handedly conquering Reach.

Not forgetting, its just nobody really cares because we never actually got on the supercarrier.

Man, I sure do love me some high-credit, easy-as-piss Daily Challenges. 2500cR for killing 250 enemies in any game of Reach? Just loaded up a Custom Firefight Game with Infinite Health, Bottomless Cup Rocket Launchers, and bam, easy as piss. Weekly Challenge resets in like 11 hours, and I doubt I'm going to do another 25 games before then, so I think today will be some more levels on Legendary.

Everybody seems to be forgetting that you didn't just destroy a Corvette.

You used the Corvette to teleport away the midsection of the Supercarrier. The five kilometre long Supercarrier that was single-handedly conquering Reach.

Things were going pretty badly before the Supercarrier showed up. Destroying it wouldn't have saved Reach, it would have just stalled them enough for the UNSC fleet to show up. Reach was always a losing battle from the get-go - it was always just an issue of how slow or fast they were losing.

It's hard to know when it actually showed up, given that it was cloaked.
