Well yeah, its just the immersion is going to be totally killed if the players end up just sprinting everywhere
What immersion?  You, the player, are the one sprinting just about everywhere in singleplayer mode(too slow otherwise...).  Why can't other people?   Immersion = Player is da special guy?

And hey, more power to the player sprinting everywhere in multiplayer mode and managing to live longer then other players.
Do you really expect immersion in multiplayer... do you?

I didn't mean like that. You know COD where they expected players to use grenade launchers and frag grenades like you're supposed too and not fire the launcher up into the air twice and throw a grenade across the map?

That's what I mean. Players make any game absolutely horrible, it's just going to be worse in assassins creed because of what they're meant to be doing.

(And there was runners and that in AC2 that sprinted everywhere, that hilariously still got killed by the guards if they got to close, it's not really just you running around out there)

((Yes, cod wasn't the best example, maybe i should have used chaos theory as an example))

You mean the morons that runs up on the roofs when they see you instead of running to the nearest guards?

I wouldn't mind people(NPC's) running if they are in a hurry and not have everyone look at them thinking that they are weird.
Not that i will even try MP so i don't care :P

Yeah, those morons. They are on par with the dudes who try to steal your money in terms of intelligence.

That's a "falling on a sword" rating on a scale of "whats a brain" to "quantum physics"

I have discovered the secret of Lucy Stillman's disturbingly wide mouth!

Ok actually I haven't.  I really don't remember her looking so strange in AC1, just AC2, but the reason seems to have to do with the fact that she's something of a caricature of her voice actress Kristen Bell who does have a very wide mouth... though unlike Lucy it actually fits on her face without looking scary.  And while I'm on the subject, they canceled Veronica Mars for a reality show?!

It's a plague on society I tell you!  Reality TV must be destroyed!

I think Lucy was a bit rounder around the edges in AC1, but they decided to starve her a little for 2. Kristen probably had to spend hours in motion capture too to get the butt wiggle exaggerated enough for the walk animation.

One thing I never figured out was, is she supposed to be missing her ring finger or not?

I'm sure the mo cap techs didn't mind. :P

Actually I doubt she did mo cap for Lucy.  They probably just had a generic Mo-cap actress for all the female characters since Kristen Bell is probably more expensive.

EDIT: Weird... it's like in AC 2 they kept Kristen Bell's facial features in the same place, but enlarged them slightly while at the same time making the rest of her head smaller...

Oh good. I'm not the only one who thought Lucy looked strange in AC2.

So it's out.  And apparently quite good if the reviewers can be believed.

Now I have to decide whether to buy it for PS3 or wait for it to come out on PC or at least drop a bit in price.

I got this yesterday, and i must say that I LOVE the multiplayer. I'm pretty good at finding my targets without being seen, but I have some problems with identifying my attackers

Oh man I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, will have to get around to it soon. Enjoying the main game, though I feel like platformer jumping around on walls stuff is getting old in general.

Multiplayer involves alot and i mean alot of stealth to get a kill because if your running or climbing your target will see you a mile away and run like hell.

Multiplayer is pure awesome if you're doing well, though. Wish there was a Hardcore mode with no compass, no abilities, just stealth and knives.

I don't get the multiplayer, maybe thats because I only watched two crappy videos of a guy that was really crappy at that game. Any pointers on how to learn more other than aquiring a full demo, which I really really dont want? AC used to suck ass so hard (in the non pleasurable way) since part one, I just cant imagine its getting better...

But anyway, whatdedealyo with this "your target is in sight, dont run"... reminds me of some game we played as children, and not "cool virtual assassination games". Does it matter whether or not your target sees you? Don't NPCs ever run?`Can't you kill your target in an open fight?

Is 80% of multiplayer REALLY "try to look like an NPC / try to discern NPCs from players"? Are there guards and what do they do? For instance, if there are open fights and a guard walks in on such a fight, how would they determine who's the bad attacker and who's the good defender?

Seriously, I just can't imagine they pulled it off in anyway interesting, complex or cool, looking at the other AC titles, but I'd REALLY LOVE to be proven wrong. Because the concept they got roxxors the big one, and its a crying shame they fuck it up everytime.
