brook tiles
« on: September 14, 2010, 01:55:47 am »

So I'm making a texture pack for Overseer and I happen to have a brook on my map.
Does anyone know what the brook tile is called in the raws? I couldn't seem to find it myself.

What color was the mailman's hair?

There are no raws for water bodies, but it's double tilde for water anyway.

And that's... tile 247 in character table

Yeah, but DF treats the top of the brook as having a floor on it, thus stopping your dwarfs from drowning when trying to cross a little trickle of water. Also, Overseer doesn't use the character set to determine the textures of tiles.

Still there's no mention of the brook in the RAWs. Many things are hardcoded.

If you use a tileset, it may be a different tile.

No, it's the same tile. You can change it into something else, but it's still a tile N 247 which corresponds to ∞.
