Security officer Jack logs into the computer and does a general system check.  Air composition reads as %90 Earth air pressure. %19 O2, %78 Nitrogen, %3 Co2, Cryo Tubes read as Offline and everyone is already over their sleeper fatigue.  The computer confirms Rams visual inspection by stating the Port drill arm is malfunctioning.

The bolded portion of the quoted quote implies that we did, in fact, cryosleep.

((Okeydoke. My original plan was to have my character with Pandorum type mental instabilities, but I guess I'll play a nice, contributing member.

Anyhow, this timeframe sounds better. In 2007 NASA sent a probe to image Ceres, and it won't get there until 2015. I'm assuming that that's how we discovered the asteroid, and a few years later launched ourselves to go mine it, now finally arriving in 2022.))

The ship runs on a nuclear fusion drive.  Which is a hell of alot slower, but the fuel lasts alot longer.
