Someone pit my goblin against that Yeti.  ;D
In three test fights, Ostsnottusnung won two.  In the third, Xenos blocked 8 attacks and pummelled the yeti into submission.  In the fourth fight, I accidentally gave the yeti no equipment or skills - but he still killed the goblin after 11 pages of facial gouging.
Weird because everytime i pitted my goblin against something I killed it extremely quickly...are you using the old stats or the new?  And what kind of shield did you give it?  (PS:  Give me featherwood :D )

That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

bb, the whole targeted-striking business and the roll-dodge changed a *lot* of stuff.

Now maybe the current version's balance is off (whips = godly and underpriced for this tournament), but 31.17 is a massive sea-change in combat. Don't do it.

Why? I think version 31.18 would give an interesting spin to things. Namely, fighters have a bit more sense when being attacked.

It could mess with strategies.  Dont change versions until the next tournament.  It is essentially changing the rules partway through which is bad form.

You'll probably want to stick with the current version for this tournament.  There are many, many small to medium changes in combat that come with the new version that need to be balanced and addressed.  Minotaurs also need to be modded so they don't start with level 8 weapon skills, hahaha.
