But Dura, that would be unfair! Instead of my Dancing Dagger Jr. Having about 6/21 chance of winning, if I have 2 of them, it's 1/2 chance of winning!

Wouldn't you have a 12/42 chance if everyone was in twice? Which is equal to 6/21? I am confused by your logic.

Or maybe there's a god who's just completely insane and sends you to Detroit, Michigan in a new body if you ever utter the name "Pat Sajak".

I currently have 6/21 chance of winning. If we get 11 gladiators more, one of them being mine, the chance goes to 12/32 = 3/8. Then, as IIRC, the seeding is based on the order you sign up. If my first DD is.. 10th or something, while the other is over 22, it means that they won't fight each other unless it's the finals and it won't matter. I gave that 1/8 chance of winning as extra. 3/8 + 1/8 = 4/8 = 1/2

(I feel so dwarfy, I can pull numbers out from my bottom in a way that it actually makes sense)

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

I propose a truly dorfy solution: toady should implement a special helmet that (mostly) protects against fall damage, so that the toughest dwarves of the fortress can take the 10-z level jump down, pick and axe in hand, and construct stairs back up to the upper levels.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but 1)At the time of that post, we had 22, not 21, and 2)Where the fvck did you get 12/32? I believe if we had max people, you'd have 1/32 of winning.

Also, much scarier if literally clowns.

Up to 26.

Win.  :D   Come on, there has to be six more people who want to join...

Oh, I have a question.  If I knew someone who wanted to submit a character but they do not have a forum acc.  Could I submit the character in proxy of them?  (I would claim no credit for however good/bad their character does however.)

That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.
