Greetings, this is my LP of Age of Empires 3:

I love this game even more than the first two, so that's why I'm doing my first LP on it. The first thing we have to do is make an explorer and home town:

What shall we have?
Here are the options for the nation:
Spanish, British, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Russians, Germans, Ottomans.

Strange I remember there being a lot more options for civilisations in the age of empires games...

No wait... I am thinking of Rise of Nations or some other game where you go from past to present.

Let me see, my vote is something new...

Yeah, all of those had a foot in the America's at a point or another. (Except the Ottoman, be we need an excuse to use the HUGE GUN OF DOOM, and part of the game actually happen in Malta.)

I vote for the Ottoman Admiral.

So, this is us, the Ottomans about to skirmish in Carolina

And here is our trusty covered wagon, ready to embark on a conquest of the land.

So, firstly we set up our town center and send our adventurer off exploring. Here he is fighting three bears.

Of course, they won the fight.

Ahh, our first shipment, I chose the cheaper trading posts.

I sent our explorer back to combat the bears again and he won! He saved an upgraded villager and it joined the cause!

So, next I set off off building a mosque. Mosques are very useful for upgrading your villagers. The Ottomans are particularly reliant on villagers because they are constantly being produced.

So, we hit the colonial age. This time I decided to take some military, seeing as I was planning on building a barracks next.

So, with my newly built up militia I marched off to Queen Elizabeth's village and promptly attacked it. Sadly, I had almost destroyed their town center when they killed us.

So, I hit the fortress age and asked Queen Isabella (my ally) for some resources.

Finally, I sent my army down to Queen Elizabeth just after Bella went and destroyed the Russians to win the game.

Misread Elizabeth for Isabelle. Damn me and my 2-hours night.

Hehe, I think that I may start the next episode now anyways.

Queen Isabelle of Castille? The one that installed the inquisition? How did she end up being the ally of the Ottomans?

Because the enemies were English!

I would've expected that from anyone but the Castillians. On the other hand, the Pope did pay the (protestant) Dutch stadholder Hendrik to invade England and usurp the (catholic) pupet King to prevent France from gain too much influence, so any thing's possible...
