In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's "quells".

Anyway, Mr. Putin is not an effective piece of digital rights management manware.

This seems like a band-aid solution. Won't these protestors just start putting stuff directly onto online servers stored outside the country, making it even harder to keep a hold on this information?

I'm not the espionage expert like Putin is, though, so he's probably in the right.

Tactically, not morally.

So Microsoft supports Russia in their human rights violation..ing as long as it's in the name of Microsoft profits?

I believe Microsoft has outlived its usefulness.

Aah, but then you see, they must obviously have something to hide. Using an open source OS? Sounds like pirate activity to me, they must be using it to hide their counterfeit copies of... uh... counterfeit copies of... S.T.A.L.K.E.R? Yeah. Or failing that, at least pirated .ISO images on there somewhere. Or copywritten .jpegs. Queue the Spetsnaz response teams! Lethal force is necessary!

Why would they need to pirate S.T.A.L.K.E.R., They can just go outside and experience it for real!

Yes they can. I don't care if every one of the former Soviet countries have governments with the authority to take a dump in your hard drive, I wanna go to the Ukraine.
