spiteful haulers stealing my dresses!
« on: September 11, 2010, 09:41:18 pm »

so, whenever i train military, i always make them wear no underclothes but a dress, because civilian clothes can have holes in it that a training spear always seems to find.

However it never fails, every time i go to equip a new military dwarf, i have to make 60 dresses so everyone in the whole damned fort can have one before they stop claiming them faster than the now legendary+5 clothier can make them.

Is there some way i can prevent this?

That dwarves don't want to pick up new clothes is something people complain about, I thought?

No. At least it gives the elves a purpose. I'm going to have worse problems with this - my soldiers are to be clas in adamantine clothing. I need to always have a surplus.

They're claiming clothes, but they're not wearing them.  My dwarfs have a full wardrobe of phantom spider silk clothes, but it's sitting in their cabinets as they walk around nude.

On the bright side, my dwarfs have stopped claiming things after a while.   It looks like they have a limit as to how much they'll claim.  Once they reach that everything else should be safe.  It'll be a good excuse to train your clothes maker.

No, they don't immediately pick them up, they just claim them and they sit under the clother's shop for years.

I'd be fine with it if they went by and were like "oh hey a new dress" and grabbed one. They're claiming them from 50 miles away though :/
