What happens if you kill a FB in Adventurer mode, retire the adventurer, make a fortress, and you kill the same FB years beforehand?

I believe you are having a misunderstanding of how time passes in DF.  Adventurers add time the same as forts.

I keep thinking glacier fortress would be fun, but it always ends up as cave layer fortress.

If you really wanted to, you could retire your adventurer, build a fort on top of them, and brutally murder them.

Or you could retire a bunch of adventures (beefy adventurers) in one civilization, piss off said civilization and then have them siege you the season after you drowned their representative.
