Play again, ignore the automation, and manage your rouges more carefully. It would be very fair if clicking on someone meant their death :P

If your getting many bugs, try to find a patch or mod to the game that fixes them.

It took a long and frustrating time to complete 1 round, but when I saw that axe come down on my last enemies head, it was all worth it :)

Having complete control of the government is fun  ;D

Honestly, I think I will still pass. I could have easily taken over government (every slot was empty except the bottom two) but the script was broken.

I could have brought the axe down on my enemies, but they kept dying off on their own.

Automation was the least of my worries, really. The cart circle dance was frustrating, but it was pretty rare.

The idea of building up again doesn't strike me as very much fun.

Actually when the town upgrades there are more slots for office. You need to have tons of family members and get them all into office, with the 3 you control being the jury.

And trust me, them dieing off is much better then them squirming their was through your assassins while you spend the next 2 generations demolishing all their buildings and then harassing them until they die off. (You need like.... 20 rouges to kill 1 person in the town!)

Sorry for the Necro here but I didn't really want to just open a new thread either.

Is Guild 2: Renaissance a better version of Guild 2? It's a standalone add on and from what I can gather it is just a better version of Guild 2 with more stuff.

I guess you answered your own question. It is though riddled with bugs, but I had fun with it.

Aye I just wanted to make sure I was correct before buying it. I was looking at the complete collection but if the Renaissance version is just a better version of the original game it saves me about £10

I don't understand how one game can have so many bugs yet still not crash on start up. Every time I play a game, a new bug appears. And I always see even more bugs on people's lets plays.

Just as a heads up, Renaissance doesn't have any tutorials.  You can download the demo of one of the others to play them on though.

The Guild 2 is great if you're oblivious to bugs like me, though.

The game is buggy but none of the bugs I've hit are game-breaking or stop me from playing. Usually it is just me going "huh, that was strange." and continuing.
