Head on; apply directly to the carrier!
Pretty much sums up this update.
Using the hotkey "d" I tell our damaged group to dock. I'll send them to join our attack if I get the chance.
I have organized our groups(taking your guy's advice) into 3 power groups. The corvettes are in wall formation on aggressive tactics, they will attack anything the carrier spews out on us. The interceptors(split because one is Sheb's squad) are in delta formation and will focus on attacking the carrier. I may put them on aggressive if the carrier has no weapons.
Wow they are coming in fast. Corvettes will go first to clear the enemies as we close in on the carrier.
And so it begins.
Pretty easy.
Now the missile corvettes.
Er. We have too little firepower to deal with all these units just with the light corvettes. I'm introducing the fighters into the fray. I also combined our resupplied interceptors with the other group.
A few moments later.....
FI: To protect against penetration of the Kharak System, destroy the attacking force completelyI guess thats our queue! Lets go get us some carrier.
Eh, seems we are a tad overwhelmed. I also lost two scouts at this point, I forgot to give them orders.
Finely, its starting to run out of ships to throw at us. Time to go on the offensive.
Our corvettes are pretty beat up. Told our repair corvette to start healing them.
The carrier is in sight. Its just within reach to blow up.....
Wait what? They're running? Aha! Last stand I see. At least they die honorably...
WHAT!? They're retreating!? God dang cowards.....
Sigh, orders are orders. Maybe we will enact our revenge another day. I tell all my ships to dock. All there is left to do is clean up and then.....

OtherWe finished researching heavy corvette upgrade.
It allows us to build the heavy corvette. It costs 250 RUs.
More armored than its light cousin, the Heavy Corvette adds a second high powered turret to an already powerful craft. Its turrets allow the Heavy Corvette to track two Fighters at once and also make it a moderate threat to Capital Ships.It also has a charged burst attack special ability. I'm not very familiar with it.
We also have 434 RUs left over from the conflict. Any build orders before we hyperspace?
