Try and have 6 Salvage corvettes by the end of the second mission, that way you can have grab all three gifts that the AI leaves for you, it is 3 right, not 4. None the less they will make up for their cost...

About scuttling, you have to give the order twice in quick succession. Either tapping S twice or using the right-click menu really fast. Helpful to prevent accidents, or if you get confused about the Stop order(the ` key).

ORB WILL DO IT HIS OWN WAY!  >:(

Kidding, but thanks anyway for the tips. To tell the truth, I already knew that.  :-X

"Edit" Oh, and Sheb you can switch if no one else wants it by the time I get to the next update.

Ooh. Homeworld. Played Cataclysm and 2, but never the first one.

Also, I never got past that mission in 2 with the hyperspace dampeners and frigate spam. That was a damn nasty mission.

If it fits in with your tactics all right, I'd quite like a squad of Attack Bombers. Hunting down and destroying frigates and capital ships!

You should play Homeworld. A lot better than Cataclysm and in my opinion better than Homeworld 2. If there was an improved graphic/AI version of Homeworld, I would buy it. You can probably get Homeworld at Amazon for 10 dollars.

Anyway, I probably wont be able to squeeze in an update today. Too busy. Then again, I planned the next update to be fairly short. But who knows.

Oh, and in the last update I didn't say that one formation was the sphere formation, it is now fixed.

"Edit" Oh, and sorry if I seemed a tad hostile(somehow) about replying to the tips. I'm fine with it, and often will implement whatever you say.

"Edit2" I want to say "Oh" here, but then it be redundant. Oh well. Anyway, I didn't notice you wanted a squad. Its fine. I actually use attack bombers on the ghost mission(whether that is a bad idea or not, it works....barely). I don't recall when we get attack bombers, but it should be soon. Maybe 10 updates from now.

Burnt Pies, its good to meet another attack bomber fan. However, why blow up what you can steal?

I actually liked Cataclysm a lot more than the original Homeworld. It had a little more flavor, and a little steeper difficulty with its ship-defiling Beast that you couldn't capture (or even ram attack) properly at first. Also, repulsor shields. Also, huge Kuun-Lan-mounted cannon. The visual style of Homeworld may have been superior, but Cataclysm isn't too bad in that regard either.

Oh, and it had that (incredibly useless) pilot view option. I can only wonder why it never made it into HW2, watching a massive capital ship skirmish through the eyes of an acolyte pilot in the middle of it is quite fun.

Playing Homeworld 2 after playing Cataclysm made me rage at how useless the guns are on the mothership.

The Kuun-Lan is, in my opinion, the best mothership. That Siege Cannon, combined with the decent turret coverage/damage and its more horizontal profile (I prefer horizontal ships. I do not know why.) just combine to make it much more awesome than the Homeworld 2 mothership.

And I loved watching my acolytes making strafing runs on Heavy Cruisers with the pilot view, too. That was pretty damn cool.

It was harder? I found it quite easy. Don't remember why, I only played it once. Maybe abundant resources.

It also seemed to have less creativity. Probably due to it being a sequel(or expansion?) but still. You are mining, you "unlock" something pure "evil" from "another world" and have to set whats "right".

There is not really a lot of gray area that I come to like. Homeworld has that. I mean, were the Taiidan justified in their actions? Weren't the Hyrule(however you spell it) tyrants? I'm trying to be kind of vague because I don't want to ruin plot points. Please use spoilers if you are specific.

Anyway, it just didn't really have what I come to expect from a Homeworld game. Kind of set the bar high. Its a good game, but I would rather Homeworld.

I found cataclysm pretty easy, too. Especially compared to Homeworld 2.

Since I didnt do an update yesterday(mostly because I got lazy), here is something to discuss.

What is that from? Its pretty easy, but I couldn't think of anything else at the moment.

Oh dang it. I was almost done with the second update, but one of the pictures wouldnt load all the way. I refreshed my browser, without thinking that it would erase my post.  :'(

Not doing that again till tomorrow.  :-\*

I still have the pictures, but I lost the links to where I had them uploaded.

*If I cant find anything else to do, I might squeeze in the update again before going to sleep.

I cannot recommend too much the use of Textarea Cache: a firefox add-on that save anything you type in a form, so you don't loose it if you refresh.
