Pandar, how does your method prevent against false claims? Say, for the sake of idle argument, that Vector was indeed the Webadict, and just fed you that line since it's a fair guess of the abilities names, and also since you were expecting it?

But it isn't repetitive!  It's symmetrical, it's elegant!  It's colorful, so that where one name is silver and white, the other is black and sort of... disturbingly orange.  One is so much harder than the other.  One is three-dimensional and intricate, and the other is planar and simple.

So Pandar, we are awaiting your veredict. For the record, we are placing an enormous amount of faith in you and your intentions, so you better not have an ace up your sleeve and plans to screw town in the end. But yeah, you got the goods, so it behooves us to follow your plan.

Also, you are still voting breadbox, which I think is pointless at this point. Unless we get closer to the real Webadict, I think our best voting candidate should be Archangel, but we should be careful when moving votes to not place you in danger of his hammer.

Very well. I take Pandar at his word that Vector is not the webadict... which unfortunately leaves me without useful suspicions in that regard. Let's see more people play the claiming game.

And I still think you are scum, Archangel. Yeah, I agree not SK, since that would have to be an ability in the list, but you could very well be Zai's scumbuddy, and it's a fact that your abilities are hugely anti-town, so you are still my favourite to lynch unless we get the cultist. Although I say your unvote, I'm still weary of your hammer, so I'll stay voting Vector for now until it seems safe to move without giving you temptations.

I'm sticking with Pandar. He could be completely lying about the Webadict's powers. I think he's only obscured one of the dead character's roles and called it his own. ...I've been sitting here thinking about whether or not I should roleclaim. I felt oddly compelled to do so, but I think I'll let that pass. I'd rather not let everyone know. If that King of the Mafia skill is in fact what it is, it could definitely leave one of the cultists a little too powerful.

On second thought, Pandar knowing all the roles AND being the cult leader does seem extremely too powerful... We might keep in mind that if roles are ever day-switched, we might really want to analyze that move hardcore. The cult leader could really use the knowledge that Pandar has. But, I think that goes without saying... (I'm probably rambling; it's 2:30am and I just got done working for the past 14ish hours.)

Anyway, I find it suspicious that Pandar not only wants to know who everyone is, but that he's said that it's for the good of the town. Meaning anyone who doesn't roleclaim is acting scummy(subtlety). Until I am sure he is not The Webadict I don't think I'll tell him who I am.

And if it's the case that he is not, I have a very hard time understanding my thoughts surrounding you, Vector. That difficulty probably comes with your experience with the game, but I still feel like something isn't right. I really wish I could put my finger on it. Maybe I'll go read a bunch more old games and see if I can figure it out. After I sleep, that is.

NOTE: I fully expect someone to be dissatisfied with this response. I can do better when I'm less tired.

That aside, think about this from a balance perspective - similarly to how Wuba believed (probably correctly) that he could break one of my BringYerOwn games, you can tell what claims don't work because they screw with game balance. Cult Leader who knows every role would be broken, even with the injunction it has on recruiting "evildoers," even moreso since killing me at night would not work.

So here's the deal.

Everyone is going to give oblique claims like Zathras and Vector did, and I'm going to make several people here into confirmed townies. SEVERAL. Now either shut your whore mouths so we can lynch you nice an' conveniently, or claim.

Furthermore, every time someone attempts to discredit me while refusing to claim their role, I'm going to quote the post with the reply "BITCH" (or "BITCHES" if multiple people are doing so) because by god I will break this game if I have to break every one of your skulls open first.
