i think i may have been hitting df a little too hard lately, i measure height in z-levels in RL now, but z-levels have no set value! so thats not working too great in physics

Back on topic, a single x/y tile can fit eight colossus, nine dragons, ten cave dragons, twenty blind cave ogres, seven frogmen, five horses, eleven yeti, three GCS, and two cats easily.

The only thing bigger than all of those things combined, is a tree or fungus wood.

Yeah and in DF there are forests under the cave oceans. They remain saplings until the water is gone where they instantaneously mature into adult form.

...You know someone's going to find a way to convert measurements into each other now, right? I don't think heat and... say, currency will translate well into each other.

I've only been playing DF a few days now but after I play A LOT in one session I can see random flickering coloured squares and ASCII when I close my eyes. I've yet to have any DF dreams though. I do often think about fortresses and layouts to try when I'm trying to get to sleep though.

I was playing pokemon (I know, it's sad. It's a guilty pleasure), and I had started a new file, named myself Armok and named anything I caught Urist. I also walked by a lake and saw it ended a few levels down, saying to my self "Wow, it only goes down four z-levels".

A Z-level is one story tall. The exact height of that is questionable, but anything that logically consists of a story is a z-level.

It's like fair use. When you see it, you'll know it, unless you are a greedy SOB who is part of the music industry, in which case you'll define it in whatever manner gives you the best advantage.
