Infect them as per standard if possible, put it in the encyclopedia's if possible.
Get a map, so we can avoid entering their empire.
Determine their technologly level, if possible see if they have teleportation.

Farm them and sell them to the NOT-BLOBS as a delicacy?

Teleport their planets into their sun. Because we can.

Actually, i don't think we can, we would need tons of tele generators on there plantets.
Querey them for information on all neighboring species, if possible buy one of their encyclopedia's as well.

Build a battle moon.

And you seriously can't think of any way we could convince them to accept thousands of tele-generators?

And don't teleport them into a star, teleport them into a gas giant! Why stop now when we are on a star building streak?

Organize a contest, in which the BLOB who propose the best sale argument for our encyclopedia will win 5 shiploads of strange artifacts (aka, tele generators). Then teleport the planet into a gas giant.

You assume that the BLOBS are fairly well advanced, enough to travel the stars in contact with the other empires. Speaking of empires, the BLOBS say that anti-spinward lies the Ulamlsit1 or the NOT-BLOBS2. Spinward lies the Alislsiz or L'sk'ck'it and the Olpolis or Musolso. Coreward is the Empire. Of course, that's just the closer empires. The Lomalst or Popzols lie far spaceward, for example. As far as they know, all the stars in these areas are occuiped by one empire or another.

They patiently wait while you decide what to actually put in your encyclopedias.

1. Their name for the NOT-BLOBS

2. The NOT-BLOBS's name for themselves, which you know.

They are Encyclopaedias of Primsk myths, legends, and folktales.

And seriously, you could just sell them the telegenerators, as teleportation devices, for personal and cargo teleportation around the planet, not that I approve of the nuking everyone approach...

Build dyson spheres around all stars in our empire and funnel energy from them to any planets to allow full colonisation of all significant bodies..

We are pretty all powerful at this point, but i'm pretty sure that we are orders of magnitudes away from being able to construct even one dyson sphere in under a hundered years.
Expand where their are no planets.
Inquire about the ominously named "empire".
we also shouldn't take (outright and visible) hostile action until we are sure that if it came to a fight, we would be able to crush them and their allies.

Bombard their planet with microscopic jethro spores, so that we can infect them all without them being able to detect it

They are Encyclopaedias of Primsk myths, legends, and folktales.

The BLOBS eagerly wait for the data transfer.

And seriously, you could just sell them the telegenerators, as teleportation devices, for personal and cargo teleportation around the planet, not that I approve of the nuking everyone approach...

The BLOBS reply that they would prefer to use their own teleporters.

Build dyson spheres around all stars in our empire and funnel energy from them to any planets to allow full colonisation of all significant bodies..

Already did it.

Expand where their are no planets.

In this system?

Inquire about the ominously named "empire".

The BLOBS reply that the Empire is a civilization with highly advacned bio-engineering technology. As such, they decided to to create several races of beings to fight in their armies, conduct their research, and eventually even rule them. Except for these bio-engineered races, the Empire is made up of a collection of vastly different species. Of course, you should probably already know this.

Bombard their planet with microscopic jethro spores, so that we can infect them all without them being able to detect it

You send some Jethro spores down to their planet. However, appearing far from the edge of the system, it'll take a while for the spore to reach the planet.

Ask to build an embassy on their station. We should have constant diplomatic contact with them, as they could be useful allies.

No need for ally, we can just infect them with poisoned Ferrerro Rocher.

Being diplomatic partners is slightly less likely to make them go to war with us than trying to convert them into slaves will.

Expand in any unoccupied direction.

Improve your understanding of the basic nature of the universe.
