An explosion would have to happen, by the laws of (I think it is) Thermodynamics. In effect, the matter:anti-matter pairs would form a giant wedge,  and since matter cannot occupy the same exact place in spacetime, the old parts would move apart, with however little or much force. Particles moving apart at whatever speed/force is defined as an explosion.

Except when you are teleporting an object, you are re-arranging the particles at its destination to turn into the object, while at the opposite end, the object that you are teleporting turns into the particles at the destination. The matter:anti-matter pairs only come into the equation when there is nothing else to turn into the object, since (due to quantum fluctuations) they are constantly forming and colliding. (Which may be were vacuum energy comes from.) Teleportation is less moving an object through space, and more switching states of particles in to different locations, giving the appearance of teleportation.

I was thinking more along the lines of randomly repositioning the substance of a vessel, you just need a few hull breaches or maybe a generator breach...

So what the telefrag would actually do is break down enemy ships to make your teleported item, heh.

In any case - industrialise our core worlds and increase production.  We've played Hybrid so far (all puns intended), so a spot of Building at this early stage won't hurt.  =D

You expand your colonies, and spent some more time improving teleportation. Your colonies are much more successful than your research. Of course, your colonies are already producing as much as they can, else you would work to improve them. So, it looks like the only way to increase your resources is through expansion. No surprises there. Except for moving giant objects around, you have no idea of how to do gravity manipulation, although you do remember the NOT-BLOB ships having some... An ansible seems out of your reach as well.

You deduce that the NOT-BLOBS are based to the south of your position, which is why you haven't expanded in that direction. At least, not until you are ready.

Expand as far East an west, blocking the NOT-BLOBS off from further expansion.

Create a virus that is highly contagious and debilitating to the NOT-BLOBS. Make the symptoms permanently dissipate upon the application of a specific chemical solution. Program a mutation into a chemical-resistant and fully-active variant after a certain period of time.

Store it until you decide how long to set the fuse, then infect the Primsks...

The NOT-BLOBS wear suits when they deal with the Primpsks. You should probably know that.

Create the Cthulhu caste. It combines all our monstrosities, super monstrosities, and can carry the hive-mind. It's roughly 3 Texases tall.

Well of course they wear suits, but accidents are bound to happen, bah, set the timer for 20 years and launch the puppy.

Virus shall now be known as Puppy.

Attempt to build a teleportation-based rail-gun.
If teleportation can deform a surface it can compress a rail, forcing the contents to progress along the rail.
If it can generate or displace matter, then it can increase pressure in an enclosed space, propelling something along a sealed rail.
If it moves material, then perhaps you could perform partial teleports or unstable teleports to make a static state unstable, causing an object to accrue velocity as it is teleported along a rail.
Maybe you can edit velocity directly.
Use teleportation to create a vacuum in front of an object?

Construct a missile, use a segmented worm as a base.
Have the forward segments hold various corrosive materials with razor-shaped seeds and/or spores embedded in the skin.
Have the rear segments hold massively pressurised liquids and shaped to maximise energy transference.
Once launched it will release its segments one at a time, the segments, once released, will propel the missile, which will have sufficient flexibility to steer itself. It will tend to take an indirect course and continue accelerating as long as possible so as to have a less predictable course. Once it makes contact with a target its porward sections will be destroyed, the seeds are intended to pierce a chemically unreactive covering to maximise corrosion to armoured targets. Any surviving seeds will attempt to sprout, using the remains of the missile as food, and deform the surrounding structure as it grows, preferably it will launch projectiles at any nearby objects.

The intended function is as a homing missile that will evade point-defences, produce moderate damage to a resistant target, and to create an ongoing threat, potentially disabling a target after a battle has concluded.

I just feel that we need something in case our lasers don't work...

Refine the teleportation technology so we can reform matter at short range.  Using this we can simply turn chunks of asteroid or planet into the ships we need.

From what you typed it seems like teleportation works by disassembling the object at one end, then using that energy to reconstruct it on the other end.  If matter is already present we can probably either out put a huge burst of excess energy on arrival, or expend energy to rearrange what was already there into a clone.

Make a strain of Jethro that uses this technology to start a grey goo situation on the homeworld.  Soon ALL will be Juffo-Wup.

firstly, i'm rather certain that we are already passively infecting the interlopers with ourselves, and are simply biding our time until we are certain that we have infected the whole of their empire, at which point we will activate the infection and welcome our brothers into the collective.

secondly, it seems very unlikely that an object that is teleported would retain its velocity and trajectory.

Indeed, I was going to say such a thing, until the multiple black-outs occurred. A teleported item has the velocity and trajectory of the particles it was made out of. Generally, since it would mostly be matter:anti-matter pairs, a couple cm a mintue, in a random direction.
