MITOSIS! NOW! And send the extra in the direction of the tunnel.

You'll have no way to contact it after it goes inside. After all, they aren't as smart as you.

It's plenty useful to a multicell. The animals I got the idea from are multicell and use it to great effect.
That's because they developed it AFTER they went multicell. The way you proposed it, every single cell would have it. Not useful. It might work post-multicell, but not before.

I know. Go inside a bit to make sure it goes inside the rock, and follow a bit behind it. If something happens to it, run. If not, once you get to the end, eat it back up.

You use two bits of protein (and two units of energy) to make another piece of DNA. Afterwards, you improve your centrosome (which controls the cytoskeleton) with a bit of protein (and a unit of energy.) Your reflexes are slightly better, and you can move faster in tighter spaces, perfect for exploring the inside of the rock.

(Walls have been simplified, as I can be quite lazy.)

There seems to be another hole in the rock. As opposed to all the other holes you passed, this one is large enough for you to pass through. The path that you are currently traveling still continues though. Needless to say, your chloroplast does not work here.

(I would wish to remind you that your E.R. can produce a variety of chemicals.)

(I know...)

Produce a toxic chemical, and an anti-toxin to the chemical, replicate both in equal ammount. Try toxin on first cell we find, thats not one of us.

Develop hyphae and become a fungus.

Don't forget an equal amount of Alpha, Beta, and Theta Defensins.

Sorry, no hyphae, too limiting. Unless you want to explain what you want to do as a fungus (And I like it)

As a fungus we could grow through the rocks and eventually we could become mind-control fungus

I support hyphae. We shall be plump helmets! With some extra dwarven mind control properties.

Sorry, hyphae are too advanced for you right now. (But when you get more DNA...)

Then the cell should make more DNA. Immediately.

We can wait on it. In the mean time, do what I said with Mitosis.

You don't have enough materials to do Mitosis. Sorry.
