We need a good look at our host. Use the eyes of the fungus to look at it.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Ah, right, that's why you are using the fish's sight in the first place.

I take it we are a slug now?

Anyway try to work your way around and infect everything you can along the way, hiding the tentacles when necessary.

i think its a lungfish that we took control of when it was on land (or some other amphibious creature, maybe a crustacean, hard to tell from the picture)

But why use ours when we can use theirs?

perhaps we should develop something inside our host's mouth that will allow us to eat what we want regardless of our host's natural diet, (i.e. if we controlled a herbivore we would still have our own carnivorous mouth that grew inside of theirs, allowing us to bite and chew flesh) could either grow and replace the natural mouth, or do an alien style extend-able mini-mouth.  The extender mouth would avoid problems of not having a jaw, while the natural mouth would allow for a larger mouth.

as to what to do next, go have our host bite the yellow kelp-like stuff.

Is it possible to get a description of our host, like how we knew that jawless-fish was a jawless-fish?

We need eyes on stalks so we can get a better view of our fish and everything around us. We also need a proboscis.

I thought the fungus's sight was via the leaves which would be panoramic already, the eye vision is using our host

...

Can we... give the fish stalked eyes?

We can add an eye-stalking affect to our poison.
