*Picture*
this looks FUN, and i don't mean the board game.

I'd like to beautifully press her 3d game board if you know what I mean.

Jeezus you guys are such Nerds!
...though I'll admit, she is rather attractive.

Hmmm, I rather like Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Up to 6 players explore a procedurally generated Mansion, arming themselves with tools and artifacts, while dodging hazards and fell curses... at least until The Haunt happens. It's the Haunt which defines the game's goal, the real challenges, and the enemy (it's different every playthrough). A random player (or players) become the enemy, gaining unique powers and a secret objective (usually at the player's expense). The remaining players seek to thwart them, escape the mansion, or complete some other goal that they know, but their enemy doesn't. It's excellent for groups of 4-6 who like strategy games, horror, and inter-player intrigue.

I love it, because it's a different game every time you play it. On the down side, I believe you need a Moderator to run it.

I often play this game with groups of 2 or 3, and it seems to work equally well.

You only need a Moderator if your 1-5 other friends are jackasses, though.

Mmmh mmmh
best boardgames.

Ok I guess my new favorite is

Twilight Struggle

which is a Cold-War boardgame where one player plays as USSR and one as US with amazing replayability.

Other great games include:
Tide of Iron
Junta
Axis & Allies
Game of Thrones (not sure about the english title, got the german version)
Agricola
Arkham Horror

I recently bought "Battles of Napoleon" which also seems fun, only played it once though

Galaxy Trucker - Probably the best "lite" game
Space Alert - Best Coop
Dungeon Lords
Blokus
Dominions
Citadel
Zombies
Small World
Risk 2160
Chaos in the Old World
Through the Ages
Puerto Rico/San Juan
Bohnanza
BSG's board game

Hasn't been mentioned yet, and I like it a lot. It's humble.

A humble 70 bucks =(. Ever since it won some awards I've been seeing it's price steadily increase.

Friend asking his girlfriend to play Agricola:

Her- "So it's like Farmville, but we have to set all this stuff up? Why don't you just log on Facebook with me."
Him- /sigh

Agricola was created in Germany, hence it's low price. I just can't justify it's price here when i already have the similar Puerto Rico and Through the Ages. I'll probably just get it used some time.

Or you could buy it from Amazon.com for 50 bucks.

It's a real nice game and much better than Puerto Rico in my oppinion.

I can no longer receive large packages at my address so anything I want to buy is going to be from a store which tends to be Amazon's price plus about 20 bucks.

70 is a bit much...

I bought it for 40 euro, but the weight of the box was what convinced me: There's tons of stuff in there, no plastics, all wood and good-quality cardboard and paper. Go Germans. I just hate flimsy game props, and often find the "luxury version" of a game (with wood or metal instead of plastic) well worth it.

Most counties have a mail business that will accept packages, for a small fee. You ship to their address and they hold the package for you.

My friends really like Betrayal at the House on the Hill, although I'm not all that fond of it for some reason. Not sure why not, but I just don't find it as fun as a lot of other games.
