DEFAULT_SITE_TYPE

    Also determines symbol used when selecting civilization. CAVE uses no symbol. Options are: CITY, TREE_CITY, DARK_FORTRESS, CAVE, CAVE_DETAILED, RUIN

Is there a way to add in new site types? I'd kinda like to implement a Tribe type for a couple races, as it appears to lack such a site, and I see no direct way to implement my own.

On the subject, RUIN doesn't work any more. Or doesn't seem to.

Yeah, it gives an error and the civ is not spawned.

I figure it's because right at the beginning there are no ruins

I hope eventually he allows the modding of sites, I'm completely saddened by this currently =(

No, it worked fine in 40d - the race would just make an artifical ruin as their starting site.
