The links are right, but they're not being interpreted properly. You'll have to find the right message by looking at the time it was posted. It seems to affect longer threads the worst.

We had this same issue several months ago and Toady did something to fix it. Evidently it was only a temporary solution.

The issue is, iirc, a Toadhammering.  Deleted posts are still alive in spirit, and their specific links are reserved; they just no longer reference an actual point.  Instead they point to where the post would be had the hammering not occured.  And thats just one more reason to not incur the hammer of Toady.
