<%phil235> how much blood is there in a corgi puppy?
<%phil235> a liter?

this gets worse if you know the context, but it gets better if you know who this dude is

How much blood is there in a puppy?
Wikipedia reports dogs have an average blood volume of 86 ml per kilogram. (wow wikipedia knows almost everything)   And dogs have massive differences in size and weight as both puppies and adults depending on breed.

To use a corgi as an example. A random online search pulls up a result on some random dog lover forum that puts a 2 week corgi's weight at 6.2 lbs.  According to wolfram alpha 6.2 lbs is 2.81 kg.    86 * 2.81= 241.66 ml of blood in a corgi puppy.

So significantly less than a liter.  You would have to bleed out 4 corgi puppies to get close to a liter of blood.

Oh wait...this is the OCQ thread uh uh... *traws around threads for a few seconds*
Today, I blew myself up.
there.

That would have to be one very big corgi puppy.

What I love about this forum is that one can use a sentence like that and no one even bats an eye.
