That's manipulative editing, though. It turns the object into subject of axe murder.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

2. You must post only one whole excerpt per quote. I don't mind if you have to trim the top or bottom from a post as long as whatever you quote is an unbroken passage. It's too easy to find a long post and edit out every word except "...I...eat...socks...". It's also not funny at all and goes against the purpose of this thread.

I AM NOT ACTUALLY VERY GOOD AT MODERATING.

PLEASE CONTINUE NORMAL OPERATIONS.

Oh hey, we're coming up on 10k posts. Sure, it took, what, 4 years to get to 8k, but progress! Mathematically, It should just be one more year. I wonder what will happen.

That uh. That wasn't foreshadowing or anything. Legitimately curious.

Probably shoulda waited 7 days to muse on it... Damn.

'Well, after one night when I and my dad ended up killing some nazis with axes in a thuderstorm'

Emphasis on the end of that. He removed things from in front, and from behind. Nothing in-between.

I didn't say it went against the rules, just that it's somewhat misleading.

3. No discussion, only contributions. Discussion can clutter up or derail a thread like this one, with the added annoyance of removing the mystery behind the out-of-context quotes. So please, if you must discuss, take it to another thread. This doesn't mean that you can't introduce or comment on a quote, though, as long as you do so when you're quoting it.

As long as you don't snip stuff from the middle of a quote, that's totally fine and dandy. Quote mining, ho!
