a)Scratch Damage -- Check.
b)Knock-back -- Check.
c)Hard to shoot -- Check (for me, at least.  Odd angles of approach an' all).
d)Disrupts Game -- Check (they can reverse your horizontal control).
f)Re-spawning enemy -- Check.

Also, there are actual Hellbats in the game.  So the related Bat out of Helll trope is appropriate as well.
