Update 12: Zombies Not IncludedThe next UFO we detected, on the 25th, was a large scout apparently on an “Alien Base” mission to Southeast Asia. The Interceptor was scrambled to catch it, but we lost radar tracking over India.Mobius’ Interceptor was stationed to patrol in case the UFO had landed nearby.Cruz’s Interceptor, as well as the Skyranger with us in it, were ordered to patrol the skies over Southeast Asia. The same UFO was picked up on Cruz’s radar, and he was sent at it.In the meantime, a “large” UFO was picked up, again by Cruz’s radar.Cruz successfully shot down the Large Scout over Vietnam, and was sent to pursue the large ship. This ship was bigger than the Terror Ship, and was shaped like a figure eight. It measured almost thirty meters at its widest point. We then encountered the first indication that our air weaponry was insufficient – Cruz emptied his last two Avalanche missiles into the ship and reported that the ship had just shrugged off the blast.Mobius One caught up to the UFO over Central China. He proceeded to fire and score direct hits on all six Avalanche missiles, which the UFO ignored. Both Interceptors were now out of ammunition, and were reduced to tailing the UFO.Our Skyranger was also directed to tail the UFO, while Mobius’ Interceptor had to return to base and refuel. We caught up to the UFO over Northeastern China, but the Skyranger did not carry any air-to-air armament.Cruz’s Interceptor ran low on fuel over the Sea of Japan and he had to turn back. Then, the Skyranger’s radar picked up another contact – a UFO of the same size approaching Japan from the Pacific Ocean. The UFO we were tailing landed on the island of Sakhalin, and we tailed it down.UFO-12 landed Mar 25 in Sakhalin, Russia
Soldiers: Dr. Johannes, Frank Braeden, Ensign Dave, Crandal, Jacques, Maximum Zero and Moria Brown
Note: I forgot to add new soldiers in. Whoops! Also, I apologize for the poor picture quality.
Jeremy: Tank under fire!
Jeremy: Two Floaters, by the UFO!
Frank: Got one!
Crandal: And another one!
Dave: Jesus… a three story tall ship…
Jacques: I believe this is the door?
Moria: And there’s another one here!
Moria: Another Floater coming up!
Moria: Wait, I got it! Any more?
Crandal: Where did that come from?
Jeremy: This side’s clear.
Jacques: I don’t see anything…
Crandal: Other door is clear, too. Where are they?
Dave: ARGhhhhhh-! *dies*
Frank: What the hell?
Jeremy: Floater beside you!
Frank: I’ll deal with him. Jeremy, can you go scout the area?
Jacques: There’s an engine room of sorts here.
Max: And there’s one of those lift things here.
Max: There’s something moving up there…
Max: Ha! Got it!
Crandal: Another lift on this side!
Moria: Careful guys, I think they’re trying to ambush us now.
Max: What-
MEANWHILECrandal: There’s a small room with a door up here.
Crandal: This hallway’s empty.
Crandal: And so is this room. Did they all escape or what?
Max: Floater!
Johannes: And another one!
Max: First one down!
Jeremy: The exterior’s all clear, so they’re all inside.
Crandal: Just a little surprise for any ambushers here.
Moria: Why do these ships include stupidly pointless halls without rooms?
Johannes: Yeah, there’s a completely empty room down here. Weird.
Jacques: And over here too! Maybe they moved their equipment out?
*ssstt*
Frank: Another one down!
...on our side...Crandal: And the last one!
Crandal: Shit!
Frank: Right in the face!
Fatalities: Ensign Dave, Moria Brown and Crandal
In hindsight, we should have known that this ship was vital to the aliens’ war efforts, given the amount of equipment and aliens within, and the fact that some of the ship was cleared out. We still had a large scout to clear, with half the squad dead, so we didn’t take much notice of this one.
