Mal just got out of the tactical simulator of the Berlin mission, and he managed to cause even more damage than before to civilian structures. Certainly that will catch the higher-ups' attentions.

On another note, is Mal at least a Squaddie now? The first page still shows him as a rookie, but it seemed like he blew something up last mission...

Anybody here know an estimation when the next update comes?

Also: Phantom has also got in the Berlin Simulator the next time Mal got in. Mal died. Everyone else lived.

Yeah, he's a Squaddie now. Everyone's a Squaddie and above except Akam, who's still a rookie because he hasn't been on any missions yet.

Edit: About research, I've already researched Laser Weapons up to the Laser Rifle, so do you want me to continue with the Heavy Laser/Cannon/Defense?

Just a personal opinion, but one I've found echoed elsewhere on the internet, is that Heavy Lasers kind of stink. I'd prefer Heavy Plasma, or some body armor.

Heavy Lasers are sort of beaten by the Laser Tank...

If you're playing on the hardest difficulty setting, only the Heavy Laser and the Heavy Plasma and the Blaster Bomb have a decent chance at killing a Sectopod in a decent number of hits.

I still need to sort out all those applications from before! Also, those who requested Autocannon may not get it, since we already have enough heavy weapons as it is.

I find all heavy weapons except the Blaster Launcher useless.

But you could sure as hell kill one.

MEANWHILE...
Phantom was walking around the base and was instantly teleported into the future, inside a X-Com Aquanaut base. And then he was teleported back, clearly freaked out.
