Update 4: Antigravity BombsOn the 24th, we received word from the science department that they had completed a working prototype of a laser weapon in the form of a pistol. Of course, the engineers told us that they would again require time to manufacture these. The next day, two more new soldiers arrived at base. One of them was David’s brother, Richard Muller, who claimed to have come to avenge his brother’s death. They had arrived just in time for the next UFO, which was detected later that day.The pilot – whose callsign was Mobius One – radioed in to confirm that he had successfully downed the UFO with only minor damage to the Interceptor.UFO-5 crash landed Jan 24 in Belarus
Soldiers: Richard Muller, Ed Rensign, Frederick “Old” Guye, James Ramirez, Phantom, Dr. Johannes, Frank Braeden, Mal Devios
Operator: Proceeding down the ramp now.

Ed: No worries, I got it!
Frank: Hey, Operator, could you move the tank forward to scout?
Operator: I have a name, you know. It’s Jeremy!
James: Hey, I found the UFO!
Ed: Two of them!
Ed: Both down. Anyone else wants to come in?
Richard: Another one! Die alien scum!
It was again another uneventful mission. On the 26th, the Science Department once again told us that they had a new laser weapon to test, but as usual, we’d have to wait for the engineers to build it first. The next day, the Interceptors were retrofitted with dual Avalanche missile launchers for greater range. A bunch of new soldiers arrived in the evening, but I did not catch their names before we were packed into the Skyranger. The German government had reported that aliens were attacking Berlin openly, and it was our duty to defend the city.Terror Site-1 in Berlin, Jan 27

Jeremy: Complete loss of signal! Tank down!
Ed: Uh, there’s a hovering UFO of sorts here.

Ol’ Stinky: What!? Back in my day, rocket launchers weren’t pissweak weapons!

James: Yeah, I’m fine.
The explosion had torn away most of the shop beside it, and also a gap in the fence of the apartment building. We split up to check the street and the other buildings.Richard: Another one in the street!
Johannes: Sectoid, round the corner!
James: The grenade didn’t do any-

Johannes: I killed one, but I need help here!
Frank: Just one more to go!
*boom*
Mal: I got it!
Causalities: Frederick “Old” Guye, James Ramirez, Ed Rensign and Chad Reynolds
Even though we had lost four, we had successfully repelled the aliens and forced them to retreat. We had also captured a large store of technology that the aliens left behind, which would prove to be instrumental in our later research.
