Re: Super Astroid Taisen (TBS/RPG) Test fight setup complete, the battle is on!

In the aftermath of the first shootout, I can confirm two things. First, it is most definetly a PITA to cross-check and update stats in three separate instances. I wonder if I can do a macro to alleviate that somewhat?

Second, the Unraveler is powerful. Like, really. High accuracy, high damage, penetration, with only medium range and relative flimsiness to offset it. Although, no sub-attacks. Hm. Well, maybe it IS balanced...

edit: Also: Poor, poor Hartey. Well, at least he's shown that it's possible to survive getting ganged up on in the first engagement.

Unlucky it was that arm AND his legs. One or the other he can take but now he can not even attack this turn.

Yeah. If he could, that blunderwuss (yes, that's not a typo) could probable wreck Zippo with the 3 shots it could make.
Also, he's now the most experienced unit on the field. .5XP more than Stark.

I was hoping the first level-up bonus was going to be something other than an accuracy boost for a melee weapon on a primarily ranged unit. Also, Scorching Ray is overpowered. 12 total damage with +1 accuracy is too much for a starter weapon, even if he can't get the super-burst until 90XP later. I'll drop the accuracy and reduce damage to 5 for the main campaign.

I love it! It's a one hit kill on some astroids (even with the shield)!

Yeah, but that's precisely the point. I guess I could just lower the Gemstone's move and pretend it's supposed to play defence, but even then 12 damage per shot, is too much, especially as a Normal Action. I can turn it into a Heavy Weapon though, that'll keep the destructive power but limit it to one shot per turn. Howsat?

I s'pose, that forces it to either move or attack, which works well for curbing utter pwnage.

You won't see many changes, other than the bolded units and shadows under fliers. What's important is that now every cell in the spreadsheet map looks like "=MAPTILE1("Terrainname";"Unitname")" This is a triumph! And yes, I will make a note here. After I'm done with the cake.

Too bad Kashyyk and Criptfeind are in opposing timezones. Now we could actually work at a decent pace.

I am here. But not with time to do this right now and I am sorry. Weekends are pretty bad for me.

I did not do too bad though, I lost a tank and some limbs though.

The scorching ray is a owch.

Mercenary designs finally finished. Really hit a snag on the last three.

On to stats. I'll try to keep 'em all balanced.

I'm now considering writing a macro to compile the shortened stat lists as well. Now won't that be nice. I'll only have to sift through the lists once.
