I recall their being the one where several volcanoes under a glacier caused the whole thing to melt, followed by the world owner attempting to drain it into the Great Magma Sea. Didn't work out, if memory serves.

More than once I've found a world that had generated dwarf fortresses breaking through to the caverns. One time, the cavern floor was smoothed and had built pillars scattered about, despite their being no way down there without falling 10 Z-levels. I didn't take any screenshots, and I'm not even sure that I have that world anymore.

I've found those too. The funny thing is that the smoothed stone floors/walls are present in hell as well.

On a related note i once found a really strange place in the underground while wandering around with an adventurer. It was in a flooded cavern, but there was this one square (about the same size as the smoothed areas under mountainhomes) with no water in it. A dry area bounded by walls of water. I never did find out what was above/below it to cause it though.

Oh hey, I had this happen to me too, I didn't bother to report it since it struck me as a pretty sensible thing to have happen sometimes. If anything I wish the Mountainhomes burrowed into the cavern layers more often, preferably with impressive cavern-gates to keep the riff-raff out. I imagine that'll come eventually.

Oh hey, I had this happen to me too, I didn't bother to report it since it struck me as a pretty sensible thing to have happen sometimes. In all my cavern digging, I've never seen any creatures down there but dwarves.

Worldgen just came up with a most terrifying god:

The Infamous Orb was a dwarven civilization of The Planet of Enchantments.

Their general is a badass guy that has journeyed the underworld taming a bunch of creatures, including Elk Birds and Giant Toads...

Has anyone at least attempted to embark in the same location pre-collapse, except with CAVE-INS:OFF, and work from there? Or at least relocate before the crash occurs; save, reload except CI:ON?
