Garbage dump

I have a 93 square garbage dump and also have captured a goblin thief in a cage
I have done the basic thing i.e d-b-d then k on the cage and then d
The dwarfs are not even touching the cage to remove the equipment of the goblin
In laymans term
How the hell do I strip the goblin of his stuff?

No I did not reclaimed it
But it seems that after an hour of moving him around like crazy they are now stripping him of his cloths
This seems stupid
Is this a bug or something?

Not really. It's just that when you dump shit it automagically becomes forbidden. So your dumbass dorfs dont immedeatly put all the stuff back into the piles. Hence, you need to reclaim the square with the cage after d-b-d-k ing it.

Have a quick check in your stocks menu, that's the quickest way to see if anything if forbidden that shouldn't be.

dbd marks everything on the tile for dumping. Un-marking just the cage means that all the goblin equipment should get dumped. You want to do this before they haul the cage so that they will yank all that other stuff out of it.

Not quite, it gets forbidden after being dumped, because dumping things would normally mean you don't want them any more.
The reason you have to reclaim everything in the cage is because outsider clothes are forbidden by default, else when a goblin died your entire fort would be rushing out to pick up the clothing remains.
