Instead of "Check this out" you should have name it "The Clue!".  :P

As a general rule, I never click links without some description of what they lead to.

No need to click, just hover pointer over it and see url. After all you never know if description matches contents  :P.

Yes, but without a description I don't even check. It's just automatic.

In fact when reading the thread I skipped your post entirely without noticing the link.  :-\

Lol, our modern brains have completely filtered out links like that because they're spam most of the time. Especially when they use words like "Check this out" :P

Yeah, I guess it's habit. I was confused because I honestly didn't even notice his link or post.

IGF takes incomplete/beta games all the time in fact. Check their lists and you'll see tons of nominees who are playable but not ready for sale.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have played The Clue and The Sting and decided to buy The STing but it won't run on my vista 64(directx hardware initialization failed). So I am back at squared one. I have stolen in 60 secs on my phone and have for 2 years or so. I can't download any of the Thief games right now because I am stuck using my cell phone as a modem while I wait for internet installation at my new place.

Thievery UT. Even though it's multiplayer, you can still get plenty of play out of it in singleplayer, especially with all the user created maps.

Good call Lap. ThieveryUT still has some members who play regularly. It's a multiplayer take on the Thief series built on Unreal Tournament, easily playable with older hardware. I highly recommend that you check the official forums for organized play times and such, servers in Europe and America are hosted with a player-base hailing from all over the world and there may even be an Aussie server still floating 'round. A few tournaments are usually organized a year as well. There are still folk mapping for the game, I think, so new maps may pop up every once and a while. Thievery is playable MP or SP, so whichever you prefer you have an option.

Thievery ain't jumpin' with activity but there is some, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot, after all it may scratch an itch for proper taffin' about.  :)
