Hmm... Well, They both have power, but really all that I've seen from the guy who got kicked around by 20-somethings in tights was trying to argue against Sauron and not for their guy, so I have very little to go on in that front, So I have to go Sauron, unless someone acts very fast to persuade me otherwise. you have untill I finish the pic.

So, Heres how it goes. Zedd gets a good start, pegging Sauron with a few lightning bolts. They make him stumble a bit, and he gets cocky. He gets a bit too close, and The Dark Lord of Mordor sends him flying into a tree with his mace.

This is an interesting one.

Eddie is quite durable, but under enough firepower, he'd still go down.
The Punisher wears armor, but Eddie's dual axes would still tear him to shreads.

Personally, although Eddie is one of my favorite characters of all time, I don't think he could beat the combat-tested badass that is the Punisher.

I'm reasonibly sure, but not 100% since I have not played the game, that Eddie Riggs can't withstand a shotgun to the face, or grenades, or rocket launcher if he's unlucky. The Punisher tends to carry these things around, especially if he has time to prepare.

I'd say he could take the first few shots, but he'd be too disoriented to fight back, and the Punisher would just keep piling it on until Eddie is chunky salsa.

Actually, he can survive quite a lot. partly because of the video game proclivity of unrealistic amounts of health, and partly because

So anyway, what has been decided about Riggs's powers? which can he use (I assume they were trimmed during round 1)?

He gets both the Separator and Clementine, he can still do fire/lightning, and I think he's allowed to fly.
But I don't think he can do his Solos, or at least not Bring it on Home. Call of the Wild and Summon Deuce would probably violate the "no allies" rule, Facemelter isn't very good in this situation, and most of the rest are only useful in Stage Battles.

If I'm mistaken, please tell me.

Well, Summon Deuce would give him a mount, which fits the rules, but one thing that we never really took into account is that this is USELESS on a jungle island, so no point in it really.

Eddie can take a lot of punishment, including but not limited to flaming crossbow bolts, multiple melee wounds, and of course the unholy powers of demonic entities. I doubt he'd get in close enough for melee so the question is just how lightning-proof is The Punisher?

What really tips the favor to the Punisher in my mind is his combat experience, I'd imagine that he would have experienced in at least some jungle combat, so he would have a terrain advantage.

So far Eddie is a bit ahead. As far as I know, the punisher exclusively works in NY, so he wouldn't have much jungle experience, but Eddie has been through all sorts of hellholes (literally) and survived. If anyone wants to argue some more, good. I personally don't want to end the bracket, as there have not been enough posts.
