The ghost king's sword wasn't solid, and Aragorn's was. They hit each other.

The nighttime raid was in the Children of Hurin, I believe. And yes, he had his elflike form.

So movie Narsil did indeed have special magick properties, the kind of which would be necessary to smite Sauron? Suddenly, it becomes clear that movie Narsil isn't merely a well-made weapon, but a weapon with intrinsic qualities against the forces of darkness! Which Sauron is!*

On the other hand, the Witch King at least proves that normal steel can do quite a bit of damage to LoTR's demigods, as long as it goes in the right place.

(I actually read that as the wielder's property, not the blade's. Aragorn was the rightful king, after all, and only he could hold the ghost king to his oath. Which in some way allows him to parry an unparriable weapon.)

It's more of a combination of the two. It was magic in and of itself, but the magic would only work for the rightful king.

All we get of lord zedd is growth grenades, which violate size limitations. Monster creation, which almost certainly violates ally restrictions. And one sentence about a fight, in which he threw someone about like a ragdoll and then was promptly defeated by that same opponent due to some sort of sudden increase in ability.

Ruby obviously wins because random.org said so!

You don't understand.

You see, Lord Zedd is a tactician, the first truly dangerous villain the Rangers have faced. I have no doubt that Ruby and her mean left hook would be a match for Lord Zedd in a stand up fight, but the man is devious. He's evil.

He would simply use his growth grenades on Ruby, causing her disqualification.

Lord zedd would have his rules-violating abilities and resources disabled. Unfortunately, since he likes to hide behind a wall of minions, we have very little indication of how he himself would fare.

Ruby, on the other hand, appears to be an anthropomorphic rabbit with no special powers or abilities.

She has the Third Eye, but using that would in itself be a disadvantage. She however has a MEAN LEFT HOOK and a GIRLISH FIGURE, which would be to her advantage in creeping stealthily through the jungle.

Zedd beat Tommy up for a while, which is a good indicator of his combat skill (basically, pretty good with that staff of his) and has demonstrated a disintegration attack in the comics (he disintegrated one of Rita Revolta's pet two headed things with his staff or a blast from his hand, I can't recall which). His ethos in this case, since he doesn't usually fight, would be to take things as stealthily as a six-foot man made of exposed muscle can take it. He is, after all, a master villain.

Naw, man, Ruby's better for this contest. Tom's really cool, and strong, and violent, but he lacks the initiative that Ruby has. Arguably the only reason they got out is Ruby.
