I really know very little about the Punisher, but I assumed he would have at least some experience, being a former soldier. (Is he a former soldier? I'm kind of out of date on comic book information.)

If he actually has no experience with this terrain (other than his last fight), I think it would be a more even fight.

Anyone here know enough about him that they could guess some non-obvious things he would bring?

Well, the Punisher is a Vietnam vet if that's still canon, so yeah he'd have a lot of jungle experience. He'd have a great head-start to set up an ambush. I imagine he'd bring an assault rifle with a single-shot option, some grenades, and maybe some mines, as well as wire or net to set up traps.

The problem is, Eddie's a demon. He takes flaming crossbows fairly well, and heals quickly. The Punisher would need to find a way to keep Eddie still long enough to get in multiple headshots to bring him down, and since he's up against a flying super-strong demon I'm not sure if his nets and traps would hold up. The Punisher is powerful, but Eddie is the kind of character he can't take in a straight-up fight.

I've only just noticed this thread, and I'm giving my vote to strelok. Anyone who's ever spent an amount of time in the zone knows there's no tougher environment to live in (exceot for maybe, you know, a dwarven fort).

Would the Punisher bring any really heavy weapons?
Or would he see that as too impractical, and stick to more mobile weaponry?
