I would save that for a finishing move since it would probably use up a lot of magic so we should find a way to trap him so he can't dogde/escape first

We can't leave until its done or we're dead. The lawwizard wasn't kidding about how strong the Challenge Duel law is; You could put the entierety of the rest of wizard law together and not be anywhere close to it.

Look if Zion is more magically skilled than us and he obeys the council then baaaaaad things will happen if we break wizard law

He's 'obeying' until he can get on it.  the minimum title for that is Emperor, thus invasion of our stuff since it was closest.

VIx creates a decent-sized crystal of ice and shatters it minutely, creating a very finely grained detection field around himself, as Zion starts molding a ball of energy infront of himself. The field is deathly quiet.
