Giga meteor. When it's above the city, time stop it. Write a treaty which dispels the meteor and also surrenders the whole town to us. Also have an hourglass with "Time left for meteor time stop" written on it.

Or, kill a guard in a gruesome and dramatic fashion, then say, "As slayer of the king, I clam his kingdom!" Then notice the real king, and say, "This was the king, right?"

Cut the smalltalk and magically force the king to the wall with a meta-sword held to his throat. Remind him that this isn't diplomacy. We're telling him to hand over the kingdom, and if he doesn't agree to our terms we'll raze the thing to the ground.
