You blast a blast of both towards the forest, and at the point of impact is a massive explosion, followed by a black hole-like effect, and you see a half perfectly clear, half perfectly opaque diamond floating in the middle of the now-crater.

make diamond coy and alchemize it with reactives. Also test Yin-Yang Bomb on a living being and see if the remains are altered

You try to get near it, and are blasted back by some invisible force.
You shoot at it, and a dome/wall made out of some strange rock surrounds the crater, which is a couple dozen yards wide (lack of high Pyro skill weakened it considerably). You also hear a vacuum-like sound from the inside, and a faint thud. you teleport a cubic foot of air inside it and hear the vacuum again, though this time from the ground instead of from the middle.
The wall dents, chips, or breaks everything you strike it with with out a scratch, it even chipped your addy sword!

It watches you as you attack the unknown material with damn near everything. YOu can't get it to attack it, and it won't say why not.

Notable Attempts:
Any tools less strong than Iron are broken on impact. This also includes terminal-velocity icicles, no matter how dense or solid you make them.
Iron tools are dented/chipped severely.
Steel is still noticably dented or chipped, but not as much as iron.

Fireballs are ineffective to the point of uselessness.
Throwing an Absolute Zero at it frosts it over for a minute or two, but after melting the ice the stone is no different visually.
Telekinetic or Metamantic attempts to move/alter it results in quite forceful blasts of the same unknown force that kept you from touching it. Vix is covered in bruises.

The dwarves are busy again. something about noble mandates getting out of hand.
