AHA! a solution to the mason's problem came into your head while looking at Bob. You could change out his stuff for builder equipment, or make a BuilderBot. eh, you've got metal to spare. But first, a new sword. its almost night after all, and that sudden adding of a guard was a bit odd. So you make a second sword, this time not getting knocked out in the process, which lets you sharpen the edge quite a bit more before it settles. You then uncork the bottle and dip the Crysteel sword in it. it knocks you across the room (it was a higher level spell) but is absorbed by the Crysteel.
With new sword in hand, you go outside (after having dropped the Crysteel chunk out the window and reinforcing the crack in the floor) and start making the parts for a large Builder robot. its quite hard to do with your quite limited knowledge of mecha, but hopefully it'll be able to work.

its done finally. It looks like a giant hollow box with assorted equipment attached to it and there are supports everywhere, and the masons will probably laugh at the ridiculous thing.

Its a huge 'bot for Rank 2 (as tall as the first tower floor), so random.org will decide whether it works. if it does, +1 Rank in mechamancy and technologic. if it doesn't, you'll have a pile of crysteel junk and a goodly amount of mecha exp.
It used 10 crysteel, 5 left.

Put the bot through it's paces, hauling some lumber and building a small disposable side-room for our tower. By "disposable" I mean "no great loss if we blow it up".

You rebuild Builder as well as you can.

TAKE 2!
He manages a small room, but you must have missed something, since Builder's lift failed after only getting it up to the 3rd floor and breaking.

Ya'll got an 8 this time. you need a 5 to get it off the ground, 12 to get it to stay level with the top (fifth) floor. Right now you have successfully made a small room, but Builder is in pieces (again) under it.

Rank 3 mechamancy & technologic, btw.

Rebuild Builder, using mainly normal metal but crysteel for any parts that need to be extra strong. Reuse as much of the broken bot as possible.

You heave on the broken bot bits, but they refuse to budge. So you rebuild Builder a third time, this time out of plain ol' Metal, making sure you didn't miss any supports this time. He looks crude without the sparklyness of the Crysteel, but thats not a problem. Everything works perfectly! Woo!

You gather together all the broken bits of Builder the First/Second, dump them in the pot, and manipulate Builder until he gets the very heavy pot up the the room, and carefully lower it. New room! Woo!

20! Woo!
