Zion is not restricted by a mastery of Cryomancy, and easily overcomes your attempt at collapsing the flames.

"To hell with this generic fighting. Time to die, Vix." Zion says, who then immediately starts summoning a major psionical demon. Not an illusionary one.

Cast Dominate Monster. (That is, MIND RAPE THE DEMON. WITH FLUFFY WAMBLERS. Those will work less than Eldrich abominations, he probably deals with them on a regular basis, Wamblers are both insanely powerful weapons (Both when thrown or in swarms), and are so fluffy and cute that they should torment it nicely.) Alternately, SUMMON AN ATHEISM ELEMENTAL. (Demon=relegious, Atheism=NO RELIGIOUS SHIT. Therefore, it's attacks should be vorpal vs. angels, demons, and gods.)

the MPD appears first, and not only smacks away Vix's attemp at Dominate Monster, but then picks him up psionically and flings Vix hard enough to crack the field barrier! It is quickly attacked by a near-invisible rain of black ice, though, and just in time: Vix is nearly about to pass out from the impact.

Vix heals himself, but needs to hurry and finish this, theres not much magic left and though Zion a thrice bleeding slghtly and arguing with a summon, he hasn't lost yet!

Charge at him with a barrier, grab him while hes surprised and use the rest of your magic to smash a hole through the 5th wall and throw him into it

The summons are dispelled, since Vix does not need his and Zion is fed up with his. Vix then charges at Zion with a barrier, grabs him and-wha*SLAM!!!*
*CHSHIIUR!*
Gets flung instead by an amazing rolling reversal by Zion, smashing through the field barrier and (not)landing on nothingness!

The Wizard Council is rather up in arms about this, no one in the many millenia of Challenge Duel history has actually broken through the barrier; and the void outside seems to be stripping away the strength of the Challenge Duel laws through the hole as the barrier  fluctuates and struggles to remain intact.
