We pretty much lost in two hits. two because they let us hit first.
nowhere near enough time to focus on Psionics.

I'm pretty sure the only thing with magic style we've used is the meta-sword tactic we used against Violentrix, so why don't we just try that in a rematch with the dwarf? If that works, we should ask Violentrix about style when we have time.

The last time we fought a near-invincible enemy was Violentrix. That time we lost because we're a bunch of dullards with no combat style, or grace. I assume we need to use style this time as well. That is how it came up.

Ah, good point. But Violentrix was just really hard to beat because he almost matches uses magically.

This is just Vix being too proud and stubborn to accept that a Nist Akathian dwarven newbie recruit can easily beatdown his arse in one shot.
I'd use that style, DS, but it just seems too silly.

Ahem, that is a silly reason not to use a fighting style. People thought that order, formations and dicipline were silly, and they died, horribly.

The meta-sword style is just sending a near endless wave of transparent swords to attack the enemy on their own, so a barbarian style like that can work here. We should start tinkering with it in case we duel Violentrix again.

You go out into the bone-filled, Hammer Tower-having, freezing snowyness outside the fort, and try to use the silly fighting style.
Either you did something wrong, or its a sneaky style made so that you aren't spotted, because no skelks appear. You then start using your meta-sword attack style again to see if anything happens, and hear the distinct chunk of sword hitting undead in the distance...

You instantly smash one to pieces as you reach them, and break 6 more with a swing or two more of your Cryswarm sword. you manage to beat 7 more before you start losing ground and you retreat to the sky to rest. there are 3 left below you, and you feel a bit stronger.
