Friend/acquaintance/person I know of suggests:

(when the wizard is in the tower with nothing to do) create a program to remove redundant and useless logs (removing "unit x in position" and only allowing a few repeats of useful stuff through, possibly one every certain amount of time). Later (or if there's still too much time) it could organize them into separate lists based on type and when/if the computer gets more processing power or a dedicated coprocessor run it in real time rather than after disconnecting from the swarm.

And yes, double post. I suck for doing that.

Metamance a hole in the wall to get the cat out. Make sure that you get it out to somewhere inside, if possible: we don't want people seeing it and asking awkward questions.

And we don't need any giant acorns, we can just metamance the cellulose in wood directly into starch. (IRL, the only difference is the pattern in which the sugars are bonded) Bam, loads of really cheap food, right there. (Cheaper magically than making it from nothing, cheaper financially than buying a load of real food)

Once we magically get Fat Cat out move the pot outside. Create second Fat Cat. Feed second Fat Cat to Cryswarm.

And the Cryswarm can eat any meat, not just that of giant abominations. Just take it hunting, or order it to go hunting and consume whatever it finds.

You carefully set up a micro-scale version of that weirdness with the bag of holding swallowing 5 miles, and attach a string to it. you pull it, and theres-OWCH-much brighness. when the too-brightness dissapears, you find pot and Cat in the bag, and a hole in the floor/ 4th basement ceiling.

You go outside and pull the stuff out. apparently it'll stretch inside-out but not outside-in, which just makes its physics more confusing. But you have a Mega-Cat sans pot, and a Giant pot sans Cat, so all is good.

Except Ninja Cat Alpha. it comes back covered in random stone crafts-shaped bruises and with dull claws, and missing its stealthy black catsuit. it meows pitifully, with those huge ridiculously cute dwarf-hypnotizing eyes staring at you.

Repair Ninja Cat Alpha. Focus on removing the computational and physical limits of its brain with psionics. Once improved metamance its body into something that can handle its brain.
