Can't assign work dogs to an Axelord

"This hero need not work" it says, when I go into his prefs. However, this prevents me from assigning war dogs to this valuable hero!

True. If your military reaches -lord status, or elite, the job

references options are no longer available. You can still change weapons and armor via the military screen though.

for real? good to know since ive never had any legendary militia!

ill make sure not to make my legendary workers into a warlord!!!

If its a quick training skill like mining or book keeping, its actually quite good to shift those workers over to military if they have few or no other useful skills. The extra strength, agility and toughness of already being legendary will help them recover from training accidents and make them overall better combatants when they do get their skills up.

That would not be a problem. It goes only for dwarves with a legendary MILITARY skill. So you cannot make a legendary -say- bonecarver into a warlord. He'll just start out as a green n00b recruit.
What I do is assign war dogs to my military ASAP.
